So why does someone telling you to sit down at the Swamp lead you to say Tiger Stadium is a shadow of what it once was???

Don't worry dude. Literate readers understood, just the half-wits had trouble - you said it perfectly. If you're gonna go to the game, you better be prepared to stand.

Also -- you have the right to stand and they have the right to sit.

Yeah I don't think so. The seats are there for a reason. As lame as it was of those morons I believe that if they had complained to security they would have won the argument.

Again for the people who can't comprehend simple reading. I agree with the OP but ultimately he would have lost that argument.

We were standing during many third downs for our defense. Numb skulls behind us asked us to sit down because the could not see. I am sorry you are at an LSU FOOTBALL GAME not the opera!!!!

The bottom line is this: the majority of human beings have become fat and lazy. So lazy that they can't even STAND UP and MAKE NOISE for a full football game. They'll justify their behaviour with speeches about etiquette and compassion, but make no mistake, they are simply apathetic, obese sluggards.

It was damn frustrating, I tell you. We were the only people in the stadium, and the guy never, NEVER, sat down. Not once. I mean, there was not one person in front of him. There was no reason for him and his kid to stand the entire time I almost moved to an empty seat, but was afraid someone would show up, and make me move back

I need you sitting behind me at each game. I'll stand for 90% of the game if the people behind me never say a word. I've yet to hear someone complain though. We did have a 400 lb. beast of a Tenn. fan sitting behind us last week, she wasn't going to stand for one second and knew she better keep quiet since our whole section stayed on their feet the majority of the game.

Lazy and overweight pretty much describes these guys behind us.
In spite of it we had a good time and our Tigers won!! My son said "This is one of the best nights of my life!" I told him it was a good one but it doesn't compare to a Sat night in TS!! Look forward to moving home and being able to take him and his younger brother to many games. Geaux Tigers!!!!!!

Tiger stadium is no different than it used to be. Quit dreaming. There were no glory days. You just got older

Do you mind if I get this printed on the back of some T-shirts for the next time I'm in TS (with a quote credit if you like)?

LSUFanstukinGA-- Went to the N.Car. game earlier this year. Wish you could have gone to that one instead. The section I was in stood the entire game, it was great.
