Who comes up with these BMR/TDEE things? So, people on MFP and /r/loseit have been telling me that I should eat more cals than 1700 since my TDEE is about 3100 if I set it to lightly active. So, I decided to try to up my calories to 2200 and continue working out. I've done nothing but put on weight ever since. Experiment is over. I must truly have a slow metabolism... time to push the calories back down. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day.. I am going to go full Induction Atkins mode.

I haven't cheated at all in the four weeks since I started low-carbing. I honestly thought the initial weight would come off quicker but I shouldn't complain about 14 lbs. I just know the next 35 will take forever. Pretty much planning on staying in induction until I get there then slowly adding beans and some fruit back in.
I have to cut up fruit for my kids every day and it never looked as good as it does now!

The first few weeks will definitely be the fastest. My first 2 weeks with Atkins I lost 21 pounds (granted, I was 363 pounds). I hope that since I've not been in ketosis for about a year now, I'll see fast losses again.

Last time I did Atkins I dropped 12. This time I had less to lose and only dropped 7 or so. But I drink a ton of water so while it was still water weight loss, it wasn't as much water weight loss. If that makes sense.
