"I know I wrote last week that LSU should win a few SEC games before it deserved a ranking, but in looking at the teams outside the Top 25, I couldn't think of one the Tigers wouldn't be favored against. This team has top 10 talent, but it still must translate that talent into points and tackles. That's the maddening thing about LSU. I can envision the Tigers whipping Mississippi State this week, but I can just as easily envision the Bulldogs leaving Tiger Stadium with a win. LSU will have to erase that nagging suspicion before it rises to a place in the poll more commensurate with the talent on the roster."

They have transferred the talent to tackles. We just need to worry about points.

Still hard to disagree with that. Here's the link for those that care about such things:

GT being ahead of us is a joke. They lost to Kansas who lost to that powerhouse NDSU the week before.

All LSU has to do is win, that is all that matters. They do not rank losses they rank wins and how you get them will not make any difference if you are the only undefeated team left.

Now it would be nice to score extra points and score 30, 40 or even 50 points but defense wins Championships and that is one thing we have is a defense! Offense puts fans in the seats and keeps them there but a defense will allow that offense the luxury of not having to score all those points, just by what you saw last weekend in Vandy. That is called "DOMINATION"!

I SAY! 30-3!

I SAY!

Georgia Tech at 23 ahead of LSU???? Ridiculous. Why does the ACC get so much love and attention.

GT starts the year every single year overrated, and it happens again. We'd kick their butts like every other ACC opponent, except the U!

thats a fair assessment. It seems like he does more than just looking at final scores.

So, LSU (2-0) is ranked #24.

But Oregon State (0-1, loss to TCU) is ranked #19?

I don't MSU leaving with a win. A good game maybe, but not a win.

This guy is more impressed with Winsconsin's win over San Jose St than with our road win over Vandy. Douche.

I'm sick of this - I'm officially rooting for the opponent of every team ranked above us. If they're playing each other, I'm backing the lower ranked team. This will continue until we have the respect we deserve.

We lost 4 games last year 4 - three of which are to the #1, #11 and #15 on this list (and we're undefeated now), and Staples QUESTIONS if we need to be in HIS top 25?

Ignorant, biased or worse...
