Watched LSU vs. Alabama 2008 last night, and JL threw 4 interceptions in that game, 2 of them pick sixes.
1 was a pick-6...1 other gave them a short field. to be fair, Bama had a ball stripped as the receiver was going in for a TD as well, so that was a costly mistake for them.

Not that I have a "side" in this argument, but this is dumb. First of all, lowering JL's accomplishments and propping up JJ's accomplishments because of the results from the running game doesn't hold.
Quarterbacks are responsible for making sure we are in good plays at the line of scrimmage. We simply don't have enough information as fans to have this debate. We don't know what plays are being called from the sideline, if the qb's are checking out. I saw JL check on three plays in the Tech game that resulted in greater than 10 yard gains on the ground. At least it looked like he checked. Then again, we don't fricking know. Of course, watching teams stack the box this year because they know JJ can't complete anything over the safties was downright frustrating.
We don't know if the receivers were running wrong routes on the a lot of the pick 6's. JL seems to throw to a spot, therefore, that could explain a lot. JJ simply doesn't seem to be able to hit anyone in stride with consistency. It is almost like the freaking receiver has to be standing still for him to hit him, then again, sometime he throws the ball straight into the ground. (to Lafell in overtime on 3rd down against arky. Lafell was standing still about ten yards from him too)
Basically, unless you are on the coaching staff or have inside knowledge of the play calling and how each qb handles the situations------STFU and stop acting like another LSU fan is your enemy.

It's just rediculous. Sure, I would love to see better results from the offense. I'm a little biased in that I like Crowton because I played for him at LaTech. Believe me, there is a reason they do everything.
It will be an interesting fall. I'm not sure who will be under center to start the UNC game.

I went to two diff coaches clinics at LSU (Im not a coach, one of my best friends is) and that was what I gathered from GC's talks...
His idea of an offense isnt to just call plays.. its almost like a flowing preconcieved storyline he has drawn up... one play is set up for the next and so on.
Obv execution is the key.

Are we really not sure who will start against UNC?

I don't think miles would have brought JJ to the media day if he was not the starter

Nah. JJ will most likely be the guy. But don't be surprised if it's JL. I can tell you right now that based on what I saw, JJ is not the kind of qb that gets Crowton excited.

Why is that? I can tell you that I was cussing Gary a few times this year. We have an identity crisis. It starts from the top down.

Yes, like many others....however, the question is....were you cussing him when you played for him?

last sentence was key doc.
If you'll remember the commentary towards end of nccg in 07 thats where they were going when talking about GC.

So what's up with all these plays that don't make any sense?
Why would you run a short side option with a qb that has a gimp ankle?

Looking back, even in 2007 there were Many plays that didn't make sense.
But lsu won, so no one cares.

Considering we had one of the most prolific offenses in the country when I was there, no. However, I don't like the option garbage he picked up at Oregon. It's like he is trying to fuse his style with the spread option the Chip Kelley loves. I can't stand it.

So if the first play doesnt work , we are f--ked
