If you go to college the team loses the rights. That was changed a few years back. They used to draft guys and send them to juco and sign them before the next draft

He can play as many sports as he wants. However the second he plays in a football game, he counts against the football scholarships and frees up a baseball scholly, or whichever sport he was on scholarship to begin with.
