We won't have a pitcher left. At least the best ones. And we lose a QB to boot. Nice.

Rumor has it the Dodgers are trying to save money on draft picks by picking a player they know they can't sign in Zach Lee.

Wouldn't that be nice.

Cam Bedrosian is a gone pecan too. 29 to the Angels. LSU is getting raped so far in the draft.

None of the guys selected so far are a surprise.

It would have been a miracle to get Deshields or Bedrosian. You need to focus on Ceccini, Eades, and maybe Jacoby Jones if you are an optimist.

don't worry, Les Miles told Zach Lee that we would only recruit 1 QB in his class...surely he won't sign with the Dodgers for that reason, but maybe he will sign for 3 million reasons

I hope we don't get decimated by the draft like Tulane did two years ago, they are still trying to recover from it.

Frank McCourt(owner) just went through a nasty divorce, he pays his wife over 600,000 PER MONTH and im pretty sure she owns part of the Dodgers now or something like that.

and they declined to offer arbitration to some players because they would have gotten extra draft picks

That's college baseball. Losing players to the MLB draft is never a valid excuse for not bringing in quality recruits.

Did anyone hear Peter Gammons say that the Red Sox may draft Anthony Ranaudo in the sandwich round coming up?

LSU and Tulane......2 totally different situations

that isnt going to happen.

even our 2nd tier guys in this class will be VERY good college baseball players. We over signed for a reason

LSU will always bring quality guys but the draft can sometimes unexpectedly decimate the top half of your recruiting class if a some guys get taken higher than expected or a team unexpectedly throws a lot of money at them.

Yeah you are right Tulane did sign way to many guys who were very iffy to make it to campus.

Dodgers taking him is definitely better than the Yankees or Red Sox picking him.

It should never be unexpected, and is what recruiting in college baseball is about. When you fail to accurately estimate your chances of getting a guy on campus, you fail.
