you can contact coach nadir...but you're going to need a letter of recommendation from your hs coach.

Were you recruited by any D 1 schools? Look, if this is a real person, go for your dream. But be realistic. I you are a really great player and/or played for a small school where you didn't get much exposure, get some tape together and make a run at it. You must understand, at LSU's level of ball, the worst player on the team was tremendous in high school. Maybe JUCO if you need to bulk up or something like that. If you rip it up at JUCO, many many schools will look at you, including LSU.

If you are real good, go for it. It is your life, do not live it regretting that you never tried to do what you want.

Regrets and smartass comments are for wannabe's on this board that never had the balls to go for it.

They have tryouts, but be advised you will basically be equipment to them. Some schools take walk-ons seriously, but LSU doesn't.

Steltz bench pressed 605 pounds one summer, and has a personal best squat of 745 pounds.
No other LSU player has broken the 600-pound bench mark tha I can think of?
or squatted even over 700 pounds?

Andolsek posted a squat north of 700. BTW, his 500+ bench was much more impressive than Steltz's "605". Add in a power clean north of 450 and you have truly the strongest Tiger in LSU history. All of this at 6' 2.5" vs. 5'8".

Dems da real apples.

Things are tougher than yesteryear, but Verge Ausberry was a walk on, so was the most painful hitter I ever came across: Reginald Walker (aka swack!)

I have the utmost respect for walk-ons who are not kickers/deep snappers and work their asses off.

If you just love LSU and truly believe you can contribute, then do it. If you really have no physical business being on the practice field, then just support them as a fan.

Good Luck!

I tried out for walking on this past fall. First thing is get in touch with the coaches. If you're anything besides a punter or kicker and walk on you probably wont have to try out. Next Tryouts are in the fall because of school and NCAA rules...

I walked on as a kicker in 2007. It's not so much tryouts unless you are a kicker. Contact sam Nader like everyone else said, send them video and if it's supposed to be, then you'll make the team. Don't listen to other guys that can't do it. If you have confidence do it, if I can you prob can too haha.
