Ball's in Lake Chuck is pretty damn good, IMO.

Piccadilly might just be a cheap imitation of its former self nowadays, but their fried chicken is still some of the best.

Chelseas is pretty good. There used to be a place on 61 heading into St Francisville that had awesome chicken fried chicken, but I think its a liquor store or small car dealership now

Look, I've been to all the places that claim to have the "best" chicken... Lorman Country Store, Willie Mae's, etc. and none of them come close to this:
There is Gus's, and then there's everyplace else. There is no comparison.

In Baton Rouge, the State Police Academy cafeteria. Open to the public, it's cheap and the fried chicken is great!
