on the french market is the best mexican food I have ever had. I rarely act this way but everything I eat there is just unreal. Having the Juanito's burrito today and I think I am in heaven.

I recommend it at the highest level, it's right next to the french market- anyone else been there?

I LOVE that place.

Thank you for reminding me. I'll be in New Orleans next week.

Still haven't been, I do some work in the french market a couple days a week, so I will have to give it a try.

good, but the tacos i had were really, really expensive. $30-40 with tax and tip for 3 shrimp tacos topped with salsa and guac, and about 3 beers.

I would recommend more of the plate/entree type dishes (tasted others and they were good) as they seem to be more reasonably priced.

Been there many times, food is always great...

I usually get 2 filet mignon tacos (4 or 5 bucks a piece) and a couple of beers...

Food is always great, but service was really bad last time I went...was crowded so they put us outside in the back. Great setting, but they forgot about us too many times...took 55 minutes to get our food once order was placed...

Still, very good food...

I just got 3 shrimp tacos from Tacos San Miguel, which were great, fwiw. I haven't been to el gato yet. If I am in the quarter, its usually for a specific reason/event, but its been on the list of places to try for a long time.
