Hate to say it, but I will...Big Al's is crap...
- 1921 has the best boiled seafood in the area, Cajun Critters is a close second.
- Upscale places in Houma...Cristiano's, Cafe Dominique, Cafe Milano, and Melvin's. Melvin's is a little harder to find, and I think it's the best place in Houma. I haven't been to Dominique, but I've heard good things.
- Jolly Inn and Abear's are ok...need salt and or hot sauce.

I've never been to his restaurant, but Cristiano is a really genuine guy. Straight from Italy, I'm sure his place is good!

IMO West Main Pizza > Peppers

but both are VERY good

if you like sushi, i think Ichiban and Zen are tops. Samurai Dragon is good chinese for lunch, pretty cheap

Big Als has dollar beer every night and good seafood.

and if you're looking for Mexican, El Paso just opened and is very good.

Pretty much summed up the dining. Peppers is good. Also Red Fish is underrated. My house probably has the best seafood. But I'll be at the Saints game.

Griffin's, no doubt.

Try the fried bacon-wrapped shrimp poboy, or the blackened shrimp poboy. Or, you can order half and half.

I love West Main and Peppers... West Main can be very expensive. Last time I went, they were charging $40 for my favorite pizza (BBQ beef dressed as taco), but they do put a ton of toppings. Below is a picture of their meatlover pizza. Their pizzas are unique and different from any I've ever had. Their shrimp/crabmeat pizza is also very good, as is their spaghetti. Peppers has some really good specialty pizzas, such as the Jambalaya Pizza... it used to have sausage from Bourgeois' Meat Market; not sure if it still does.

That looks like entirely too much meat on a pizza IMO

Not saying that it wouldn't be good though

Griffin's po-boys or French Loaf are both good if you are in the mood for a po-boy.
A-bears isn't a bad choice as well and it is right across from the Civic Center. Catfish Abear in the bomb.

I like West Main, but it doesn't resemble NY pizza in any way, shape, or form.
