Les Miles is now 7-8 in the SEC over the last two seasons, with a realistic chance to be 7-9 after this week's Arkansas game.

go back to the 2007 Arky game and Miles is 7-9 over his last 16 SEC regular season games with a chance to go 7-10 this week

That game vs. Ole Piss could have done two things: 1) If there is any chance of LM going to Big Blue, a game like that could severely hurt that; 2) a game like that could impact recruiting.

2)Did you see the face of that QB after the game? He thinks Miles is a bigger idiot than I do.

JJ is no frickin brain surgeon either my friend. Kid has a ridiculous lack of situational awareness and takes sacks that he has no business taking.

I am in agreement with the general sentiment that I have lost major confidence in our coaching staff after watching the game Saturday. What happened was inexcusable for a coaching staff at a major program, being paid this kind of money. I would think a reduction in their pay is warranted, with selective changes being made at the end of the season. As no one knows what's the issue with the offense, the OC needs to go. Either he doesn't jibe with the HC, or he calls plays like a mad-man. Either way - he's toast.

FWIW, we will never - an no one else has - be a championship team if we can't control the line of scrimmage. We can have all of the skill studs we like on offense, but if our offensive line can't move anyone or protect, we're toast. Saturday, our offensive line was man-handled, and it's happened a lot this year. But that's the football reality.

After watching the replay last night, the only thing I can say is that we need to have the whole offensive coaching staff - including Miles - piss tested immediately.

Miles shouldn't have had to say anything. Crowton should have had two plays dialed up coming out of a timeout.

I will help him pack. Saturdays game will take months to over come. You don't run at the 32 yard line, you don't make sure you have called a time out, you don't have the FG team ready just in case, you don't have JJ run a play.

If I'm counting right, that is 4 strikes....all you need is 3 and you're outta there. Bye Miles!

I feel much better about our chances next year with a junior QB

I don't. Primarily since I haven't seen him progress at all this season.

Miles and Crowton need to go. BUT his fat contract will get him another year. Crowton is toast, but Miles is to blame, he is the HC. Go get Harbaugh.

I still say Miles will fulfill his boyhood dream and take the Michigan job after the Ar-Kansas game and before LSU's bowl game.

Dude...

They get CBS in Michigan, OK? They saw what happened Saturday.

Would YOU hire Les Miles after seeing that?

I have certainly seen him progress with his passing...ie, actual throwing of the ball.

His pocket presence needs helps, but hopefully better OL play will help that...

On his first TD pass to Randle, he stayed in the pocket, delivered the TD pass while knowing he was about to take a big hit. It was a very nice play.

I agree that Jefferson has progressed but his still makes terrible decisions. Crowton doesn't seem to be doing well in that aspect either. We need a good OC who knows how to coach the QB's and we will be better off. Crowton has got to go. I doubt Harbaugh will leave Stanford though.

I ALWAYS have supported Miles and thought he was a good fit for LSU. With that said...

I can't make any excuses for the state of our team right now and the way Miles butchered that final minute is inexcusable and could be enough reason alone to be fired. A CEO at a top notch company wouldn't be afforded a big arse boo boo like Miles might be given. That was horrible.

I LOVE that purple and gold team with all my heart, but I kinda hope we lose just to turn up the heat on Les. He makes me sick!!!

Well put and succinct. It's more than enough to put Miles on the hot seat NOW, not next year. The losses continue to our toughest opponents and we have NO chance of winning SEC or National titles with continued losses to these programs. With the talent that Miles has been able to recruit, there should be little to no drop off from year to year. These last two seasons are not acceptable at LSU, period. The Ole Miss loss was the result of poor coaching and utter stupidity. Our players, play their tails off every week only to be undone by boneheaded coaching. I think Miles should be on the hot seat immediately and I have not seen almost the entire fan base this upset in a very long time. Consensus is building (maybe already there) that Miles has lost the fans after the debacle on Saturday at Ole Miss. We had ONE dominant win against a quality team this year and that was Auburn who was reeling at the time. We nearly lost to Louisiana Tech for goodness' sake! I think your assessment that he must at least win the West next year to retain his job is spot on. 7-8 in the SEC, possibly 7-9 and even 8-8 are just unacceptable. No excuses can justify it. It's time to put up or move on!

I am hoping that a cleaning of the offensive house and some good hires will help us rebound next year, but I can't defend Miles after this saturday. I was a supporter of Miles but the bad decisions have become too many and too obvious. How about this guy Sarkisian from W? He looks like a quality guy.
