Does it always have to be consumed warm?
I just found a bottle of something called "Gekkikan Sake"...it looks cheap...should I drink it warm or room temp. or cold?

Depends on how you like to drink it.
High grade sake should never be served hot/warmed, you lose the subtle nuances.

I am pretty sure, the better sake is served cold. There are some upper end asian places on the coast, Tien at the IP and Jia at the Beau. I have asked the same question at both places and I was met with the same response. The better sake is served cold. The only kind you get served warm is the house. Both have a pretty decent selection also, if I remember correctly though Rock-n-Sake had a pretty serious selection also. Geikken is usually the house hot sake at most places.

I've got 2 bottles of Gekkikan Sake that I've had sitting around the house for quite a while. I've tried drinking it cold and it was terrible. Definitely have to heat up the Gekkikan unless you absolutely love the taste of Sake.
