LSU Fans compared to Texas Fans

Here's my general description of LSU and Texas Fans:
Texas Fan:
- Attire: Burnt orange cap, white golf shirt, khaki shorts, Crocs (Texas colored), Oakley's and a blue tooth device.
- Likelihood of face paint: Very Low.
- Drink of Choice: Shiner Bock or Cognac
- Demeanor: Composed, almost disinterested, and likely to flash a "hook 'em" sign after a good play.
LSU Fan:
- Attire: Purple Cap, Championship Gold T-shirt, Purple shorts, flip-flops, Mardi Gras beads, Flask.
- Likelihood of face paint: Very High.
- Drink of Choice: Cheap Bourbon or Natural Light
- Demeanor: Shamefully enthusiastic, slightly inebriated, and likely to chant "LSU! LSU! LSU!" or "Tiger Bait! Tiger Bait! Tiger Bait!" to the top of their lungs after every play.
Give me Tiger Fans any day!

Just not a fan of paint. Besides that I agree.

Oh, I'm sorry, Golfer. I didn't mean to offend your choice of bourbon. I'm talking about the average LSU fan. Apparently you're in the luxury boxes, cause in the stands, it's the cheap stuff.

It's unreal how quiet a football game is in their huge stadium.

only college kids drink natty light

You have obviously never attended a game at UT. Fans from both schools dress in similar fashion, similar amounts of face paint, similar types of drinks, but LSU has MORE loud fans and more drunks.

Actually, I have been to a Texas game, and it was soooooo quiet I couldn't believe it. Everyone was wearing a golf shirt. Not nearly the kind of craziness and mayhem you see in BR. It was evident in Omaha too. Every shot of Texas fans (when they could find one) was of some subdued, white collar fan. Every shot of an LSU fan (because you couldn't miss them) was of someone having a good time. Texas fans are snooty and clean. LSU fans are wild and crazy.
Texas fans are big drinkers, but they're there for the social experience. LSU fans like to party, but they live and die based on what's happening on the field. That's just how it is.

A few more observations from a guy who lives in Austin and who has been to TX/OU 14 times...
Texas fans love to fold their arms across their chest while watching the game and then they throw them in the air and say "Awogggh! C'mon, Texas!" in disgust when their team makes a bad play. (it's really pretty cliche at this point)
I've always said that the biggest difference between Tiger fans and Texas schools is that when their team makes a good play (a) at Texas, they do the "Texas Two-Finger"; (b) at A&M, they "Gig 'Em"; (c) at Baylor, they do some sort of "bear claw"; and (d) at Texas Tech, they do little "pistols" with their fingers...
...but at LSU, when our team makes a good play, we just raise our glass and take another swig.
OH - and HANDS DOWN - LSU's women are better looking.

i think the way teams fans "are" has a lot to do with the way the players play the game.
some places guys just go through the motions and don't seem to be having very much fun on the field and i think that translates to the fans.
Our guys, whether its baseball, football, basketball or whatever else...always seem to be jumping around, playing with a ton of emotion feeding off the crowd and fanbases that recognize this (like we do) tend to be a lot more rambunctious. We feed off of their emotions just like they feed off of ours...our fanbase has a connection with our athletes that isn't very common at all.

We called em Nasties, or Rats.
I agree. College kids.
In my day it was Milwaukee's Best (The Beast)
or Schaeffer's.
That's some nostalgia I don't care to revisit. Times were tough, beanie weenies and cheap beer, but we grow up.

Crown isn't even Bourbon.

As a relatively recent graduate....it is Natty Light by preference and cheap bourbon...
AM Mart sells 24 16oz tall boys for $9.99
We practically showered in the Natural....by choice
