Is it true that LSU has not lost a non-conference game (including Bowl Games) under Les Miles?

People forget about Arizona State when they talk about Les Miles and his OOC winning streak. That was a solid win. They were #15 and we were opening the season up on the road soon after Katrina.

The only other OOC game that wasn't a blowout was Appalachian State in 2005. The game was never in doubt, but it was only 24-0.

I remember noone really cared about the Arizona game until an unfortunate incident at midfield.

I watched the replay on CST the next day, and when they asked Jordy what LM said to the team in the locker room when he heard what happened: "I can't say it on television, guys"

Sam Keller was prob the best qb we faced all year in 05. Our new secondary got torched that game.

And as I recall, that was a pretty good App St team, especially on defense. Didn't they win their division that year?

You just showed me the preseason rankings. LSU didn't play Arizona State in week one. They played them in week 2. LSU was scheduled to open up against North Texas but that game was postponed, making ASU our first opponent in 2005.

They were #15 when we played them. I know my stuff.

#5 LSU vs. #15 Arizona State

Notice how LSU is 0-0 but everyone else has played a game.

I wasn't even sure they were ranked in the Top 20 one game in.

That was my first LSU game in the student section. I just remember that there were 2 or 3 Arizona student fans sitting right in the middle of the student section. They were tiger bait'd all game during the blowout.

LSU is 206-59-3 (.774) at night in Tiger Stadium and 20-23-3 (.467) during the day. Yeah, it doesn't matter.

No it really doesn't. The day games are the ones moved so they can be on TV (the ones against good opponents). It's a myth
