The whole fricking thing is bogus. Look if the kid wants to go else where that's fine and its his decision. The Randles have handled the entire process pretty well up until now. Just say he simply didn't want to go to LSU don't get on the radio and attempt to place blame elsewhere, throwing our staff under the bus. Thats fricking bullshite. Are you going to sit here and try to tell me our coaches lied to two kids who live in the same town and have many mutual friends? Really? We're supposed to buy that? We're supposed to believe RR does not want to compete with a guy who has been out of football for 2 years? I may buy this excuse coming from Benton, but not RR. get real

They say they don't like all the attention then drop this bomb less than 24 hours away from the big moment? He should have probably continued to keep quiet vs. hiding behind this pathetic excuse

Can I just ask how this started? I know Reuben's dad called into the radio show, but did something spark THAT?? Were they saying something that he felt he needed to respond to?

Or did Mr. Randle just up and call into the show on his own, for his own agenda???

Is it just me or does this shite happen regularly now with Miles at the helm. Recruits always seem to be confused about where they stand. Wierd shite is always happening, where we lose out on highly regarded guys, and so and so is always trying to make LSU look bad...This is not the first time.

Kudos on spinning this into an anti-Miles argument. Miles has only been outrecruiting nearly the entire country since he arrived....moron.

NBC reporter said he had a story on Randle tonight. Then Randle's father called in. I think the father thought the story was going to come out tomorrow, not tonight so he was forced to start to slow down the backlash.

He's got a point. The Pratt situation got absolutely FUBAR'd, then the day before NSD the nation's #2 recruit's claims that his son was lied to by our coaching staff.

We have a winner with this answer. DO NOT think for a second that the LSU coaching staff is telling recruits they will compete for the #2 or 3 spot. No way in the world any coach will be held accountable to that. Absolutely no way!!! Coaches say we think you have enough talent to compete for a starting spot. You will have to earn it once you get to campus.

Of all the reasons that RR could have for going out of state, the integrity/honesty of Les Miles is a hard one for me to buy into.

I do not fault this kid or his parents if the feeling is that he could have a better career elsewhere, but you CAN NOT expect me to believe that if I got to sit down, one on one with Les Miles, Saban, and Stoops that I would walk away feeling like MILES was the least trustworthy....

that is all.

Hate to say this, particularly with all the hysteria on here, but Benton may forever be associated with the loss of RR, perhaps quite unfairly.
On the other hand, the visits to Auburn were very odd. And RR's 'cancellations' there, also odd. Also late.
Hmmm...

BINGO!!!

If Randle goes elsewhere, his father's interview was really a classless thing to do. Throw LSU under the bus to take pressure off yourself is weak.
