Besides the fact that it’s physically impossible for him to reach the wall, ok

someone show me some proof that supports the call on the field

I think it's a bullshite call, but best I can do is quote official NCAA rulebook:

quote:

Nongame personnel or spectator interference occurs when nongame personnel (someone other than players, coaches or umpires) or a spectator (or an object thrown by the spectator) hinders a player’s attempt
to make a play on a live ball, by going onto the playing field, or reaching out of the stands and over the playing field

maybe, MAYBE, his glove created a distraction that "hindered" the catch.

but that would be the absolute flimsy justification I've ever seen to make that cal.

Simple math. The LSU fan in purple interfered with the outfielder.

Thank you for showing your stupidity.

What if the kid was wearing an A&M shirt? we should get our fans to man the walls at road games and try to rob opposing players homers

Hell this could be an NIL opportunity. Hire some kids to travel with the team and interfere with homers

Umpires were terrible. This crap needs to be investigated.

I don't understand how it's an automatic out. Dumb call, the OF wasn't close to catching it.

KP argument was that the Fan's glove didn't dip below the yellow line, so it wasn't over the playing field. I don't buy that logic, because if a fan had a 10 ft pole with a net on the end, there could be interference above the yellow line.

I don't think there was enough evidence to call a judgement out that was not made on the field.

Should have been a ground rule double like when someone down the line reaches out and picks up a fair ball

Bham thinks the left fielder couldve had a 75” vertical to make a play. Regardless no interference happened. It was a double. Bad overturn

The fan didn't have to reach below the yellow line. I believe all he had to do was reach over the yellow line. In other words, if a piece of his glove was over the warning track, he was in the field of play. Based on the view I don't think he was over the line. If touched the ball, it would have been over the line and a home run. To me, it looked like a double.

It hit the bottom of his glove...the ball goes over the fence if he doesn't touch it.

Anyone who has been in the left field bleachers knows you can't physically reach the field of play from those bleachers.

There is too much of a gap between the chain link fence and the outfield wall.

Absolutely terrible overturn with zero evidence to support the rule applied.

Total corruption exposed. Something needs to happen to stop the SEC corruption in Birmingham's office.

Dumb arse should not have stuck his glove over the fence, but it still was not interference

We sit next to them. He's diehard LSU fan and at almost every home game. He was distraught as frick and he gets it now. And he absolutely gets a pass.

I have been out there since 96. And I almost reached for Tommy's home run a few weeks ago. This dude gets a pass.
my post earlier about almost reaching out for a home run ball
