I don't even understand the conspiracy theory. This CT requires that there was no opportunity for Trump to identify and return the documents.
I'm not an expert on this portion of the case, but wasn't he given opportunities to return the documents prior to the indictment?

There's so much lying going on all around everything related to Trump, who really knows? What if the story in the OP is true? What if Trump genuinely thought he had some personal stuff and docs he could keep? Remember the HUGE deal your people made about him having multiple framed copies of himself on the Time cover? Y'all shouted about how that meant how much of a narcissist that made Trump for months like a bunch of jealous losers.
In short, I don't believe a fricking word from anyone in the media when it comes to Trump. I automatically assume they're lying.

Immediately prior to the raid, Trump's attorneys were in discussions with the archives about what they needed and how they wanted it protected. They wanted it all locked up which is what was done, only to have the FBI raid a few days later.

They didn’t care, they had a job to do.

The issue is the disparate treatment of this case. Presidents normally negotiate with the Archives for up to 2 years on which documents they keep and which they must return. There are examples from nearly every recent president where they’ve kept such documents and none have been prosecuted.
So to set up a trap where they ship the documents to him then A) Don’t process the negotiations in an equal and timely way and B) prosecute him for doing something that no previous president has been held criminally responsible for is the issue.

It's not a conspiracy theory, jackwad.
It's new evidence coming to light about the order of operations that's been conveniently left out of the prosecution's accounting of what happened when, and equally absent from any legacy media coverage of the case.

IIRC the Trump team was negotiating/arranging for the documents to be returned to the National Archives in compliance with the May 2022 subpoena for the documents to be returned. The FBI used security camera footage as well as "significant number of civilian witnesses" to get a search warrant. So Trump was given a chance to return the documents but the FBI also jumped the gun because the deadline to return the documents had not been reached.

at some point you have to accept that calling something a conspiracy theory is just a way to downplay and deflect what could very well be a strategy
it is weird to me that you dont seem to be willing to accept that career bureaucrats motivated by an agenda and armed with absolute knowledge of all of the intricacies and inefficiencies of the Federal Government could work in concert with political operatives empowered by institutions of the same Federal Government to concoct a process crime to ensnare an individual in a dubious legal situation.
You say conspiracy theory like it really means something
this isnt directed just at you SFP but a more general point:
what I also find weird is the contrarians on the board that demand a "link" to an acceptable bearer of information from the MSM to answer their contrarian points and arguments. It is practically impossible to find MSM links to build an argument when the original premise we are discussing is supported by the MSM itself. So we find info from third party sources and these are dismissed as merely click bait content creators telling half truths
