When was the last time you drove down a dirt road?

Not a driveway, and not on someone’s private property.
When I was in my teens in 20s, you could ice down a cooler of beer and spend an entire afternoon listening to music and never see the same piece of dirt twice. Maybe encounter a half dozen other trucks going about their business and zero chance of ever encountering a sheriff’s deputy.
Seems like they’ve paved them all, and with that came more people building and developing down them and more people choosing to take them to get to their destinations

You get your hands in it
Plant your roots in it
Dusty headlight, dance with your boots in it
Plant your roots in it
Dusty headlight, dance with your boots in it

… The back forty was sold to
Make up for hard times
Then sold by the half acre lot overnight
The houses went up and the
Trees were cut down
And there went the finest deer hunting around
Lord, everyone's locking their doors
'Cause country ain't country no more
… Now his dad sit's in traffic
Looking 'round at the change
Watching crews turn the county
Road into four lanes
The old Sunday drive has turned into a chore
Country ain't country no more
Lord, country ain't country no more

Now you see why they were trying to cull the population back in 2020???

Not that long ago, last year.
But there definitely aren't as many of them around as there use to be. You're right.

The beach on Mustang Island and Padre Island National Seashore last month if you consider sand to be dirt.

About 4 months ago. We’ve property that’s only accessible via a parish road that’s gravel in west central Louisiana.

Yesterday. Where I'm from, we have plenty of dirt roads. I try to ride them as much as I can. It's therapy for me

Any of you remember when most of the river roads along the Mississippi river were gravel?

Summer of 2021 Family Vacation. We timed that day really well, exiting the East Gate of Yellowstone at dusk and heading on to Buffalo Wyoming that night to visit Mount Rushmore the following day.
This little 3000 foot section of road, county lane 35, is as dirt as it comes. It was about 10:30 at night when Google Maps sent us down this road. To say I was nervous with a minivan full of family is in understatement.
But it worked out just fine.

He's written a ton of stuff everyone knows. He has like 2 grammy's at least last time I checked.
Wrote Before he Cheats for Carrie Underwood for example. Getting drunk on a plane. List goes on...
He's a cool dude and pretty funny.
