The road at my work is paved pretty sure under the foot of gravel and silt. Iberville parish or St Gabriel ain't fixing a road unless they absolutely have to. Don't even wash the car anymore

I was gonna say today, but you may have caught me up with your legalities.

It's been years since I've driven down or seen an unpaved country road. Wonder if they're still there.

Son of a bitchsky closed up that loophole on ye. This country was founded on loopholes, and now here we are. You know who doesn’t have loopholes to rely upon when in need? Communists.

Last July. Lake trip, wife and I trusted Waze with the scenic route to the Piggly Wiggly. Windows and sunroof wide open. Country music playlist. It was therapeutic. It was nice.

And now, you bastard, despite my rule that there would be no vacations until I’m done paying for #2’s college, you’ve got me thinking…

Don’t try to Waze an LA10 run through the Spillway. It is a state road that is still gravel in the spillway.

Then there is dead end where there used to be a ferry across the river.

Sure. I need a co pilot sometimes. Yesterday me and the kids made a loop and the winch had to be used. You can be the line puller. I ventured down one road I haven’t in several years and it wasn’t in the best shape after all the rain.

Two years ago now. Went up to Mansura, La. with the wife for the Cochon d' Lait Fest and passed by her late dad's land that has 3 small houses on it and he once lived there.

It is a dirt/gravel road and when dry driving down it you'd kick up a huge dust cloud unless going under 10 mph. That road allowed access to only about 10 houses along it and all were on one side since a bayou was on the other side.

I live on a gravel road, so...

East Feliciana is lousy with them.
