That's a lot of experience you're looking for there.

That’s not likely. CJJ has struggled identifying SEC talent. I am surprised that both Kling and Neil were misses. Even Bear is still a work in progress. Looks like Larson is the real deal and Milan will be much better with the bat next year. He has done a good job with finding good pitching in the portal but still several guys are average.

I'll just take the "wait and see" approach. Nothing else we can really do.

Johnson made the CWS finals his first year at Arizona, presumably with the former coach's recruits. He won the CWS hare, with Skenes, White, Cooper and Mainieri's recruits.

He missed the regionals entirely his second and third years at Arizona before getting back to the CWS. He's on the verge of missing a regional this year. Who knows what next year holds?

LSU should never miss a regional, and it absolutely should never, ever miss the SEC Tournament.

Like I said, I'm taking the "wait and see" route. Anyone who tells you they know the future of the LSU baseball program under Jay Johnson, whether good or bad, is merely guessing.

If it’s Tre the 4th, whould that make him John Morgan the 7th or the 12th? Do you multiply the exponent?

the question is, will you even be able to tell if the players are good or not?

Or add a guy or two and develop the young players they have. I hear that's a recipe for success, but call me crazy if you wish.

Have you seen Larson and Milam? They’re pretty good

So he came in right at the end of a recruiting cycle so I'm not gonna count that recruiting class. That means anyone who is a JR/ (RS)SO or higher isn't someone who Jay likely recruited. I know with the portal people were in and out but just some perspective on why after so many players left/got drafted this team looks gutted.

It doesn't help how there's a few players we can all name that haven't made the jump they needed to make. I believe Johnson made a comment about how he should've grabbed another bat in the portal earlier this year.

is it your expectation that it's JJ's responsibility to find one of the best MLB pitching prospects in 20 years that doesn't go straight to the minors?

Maybe just keep developing and running the program.

Our fan base has to be bottom of the barrel intelligence as a whole…. It’s almost embarrassing.
