Collective $ vs. Natty

Would you give to your team $1,000 per year to ensure your football team won a Natty?
The catch is you’d have to do it every year for the next 10 years, would only win it once, and wouldn’t know in which year of those 10 it’d happen.
The other catch is you’d have to know, sitting there with your check book year after year, your money is going straight to some entitled recruit who’s immediately blowing it on booze and basketball shoes, before turning around and asking the coaches for more playing time or he’ll transfer next year.
Up for “Yes”, down for “No”.
Giving myself my first self-imposed down vote…

Once a decade is better so yes. Since 1970, 22 teams have won NC but 7 only won it once. That leaves 15 teams for 48 years (GT and CU won it in the same year), the wealth does not spread around

Your scenario? Yeah. In fact you just assured 14(16) other team's fans would say yes who post here. 10K over 10 years is less than season tickets. Arkansas National Champions 2034 is fine with me. I'm a patient guy.

quote:Football? No. Another World Series? Absolutely. I’ve been fortunate to experience both and nothing in sports compares to that. Here’s to hoping the Texans give me reason to rethink that.

Knowing the outcome and all that just cheapens the entire thing. It's like winning a game, but you put in a cheat code so it was impossible to not win.
Worthless experience.
