I’m 71 and I had some fillings in molars from way back when dentistry was not proactive. When these needed work, my teeth were crowned or capped as they say. So, I have several crowns back there.

Crowns are for Poors
I had three implants in the past 1 1/2 years, $14,000 after insurance

I've got 2 because I used to grind my teeth at night and broke off two of my molars.
This!
I started using a mouth guard at night and never needed another crown.

Other than having one rear molar pulled and 1 root canal and crown I've been pretty lucky as far as dental health goes.
I can't think of many people at my age (71) that aren't missing several teeth or needing dentures to fill their needs.
I needed a root canal around age 45 and had lost the molar a few years prior.

I think I have one crown (gold) and several inlays, also gold. no root canals.

It’s only a scam if you don’t mind wearing dentures. I’m a dentist and you people are lazy as frick when it comes to your teeth. And then you have the nerve to roll in and blame it on Mommy and Daddy. I’m not hearing it anymore. Floss your damn teeth!
Where do you practice

None. I guess I have good teeth. Only have had 2 cavities in my 42 years on this earth.

I broke two teeth on steel shot. The most expensive duck I ever ate.

Ended up breaking a tooth in my 20s and needed a root canal & crown. No other issues.
20 years later I had it replaced with a new crown.

Dentist are definitely a scam. $500 for a 30 minute procedure and $300 for a cleaning and x-rays.

Three and I need another right now.
My first crown is my front tooth...number 8. I had to get it at age 6 just after it replaced my baby tooth. I was riding a Big Wheel and spun around and slid into the back of the steel bumper on my dad's car. I cracked the tooth in half and I had to get it crowned.
