If you go with the ruger 22/45, get the mk4. They are much easier to take down and clean. I have the mk3, it can be a pain to disassemble and reassemble. Still fun to shoot though.

Nothing can make me spend money I didn’t want to spend like the OB

Thats one reason I dont want the ruger.
As soon as I got one, all the aftermarket parts would be in the mail as well.

I have a TX22 that has been super reliable suppressed and not. It’s a great little pistol.

Walther PPQ 22. Feels like a midsize 9mm so really good for training.
I have one of these as well. It eats any ammo I put in it. Great ergonomics and accurate.

I like my TX22 as well, although I haven’t put a can on it.
It doesn’t seem to like Aguilla ammo, but otherwise it handles everything else.
One thing with new TX22’s….field strip them AND the magazines (watch the springs) before you shoot it. Clean thoroughly.

Couple good deals available on the PPQ currently. Battlehawk has the 4” for $229 if you choose the Email for Price option.
Battlehawk
CDNN has the 5” target model for $289.
CDNN
12-rd capacity is nice, and being I have a PPQ in 9mm, it makes for a great training pistol. The 4” fits in my 4” 9mm holster.

What’s your favorite optic to use on a .22 pistol?
I’m in the market for one for a Ruger 22/45

I've got a Sig Romeo 5 on mine and really like it. It's got the shake awake feature which is a nice plus. It's been solid so far.
