Yeah South Carolina doesn’t have the issues that Seattle does. That reeks of finding an additional scapegoat when the rest of their post covers it nicely.

Yup, they hired a bunch of Business people to run the company.
Airbus's CEO is an engineer.
AIRBUS CEO
"Guillaume began his career in 1992 as a flight-test engineer for the Eurocopter Tiger helicopter"
Compare this to the Boeing CEO
"Calhoun has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Tech."
Boeing is known for trying to promote any women in the company no matter how badly they did in previous roles.

As an MBA and JD I resent that remark but agree with it too. We were taught differently when I was in school. Gordon Gecko was seen as a villain not a hero. So was KKR
Boeing was a great company, MD was always profits over people. It’s unreal that the MD management took over. It’s like ford merging with fiat and the fiat management takes over.
There is a great documentary on Netflix on all this

DEI and engineering related industries do not mix and endanger lives. DEI and any industry do not mix.

You should ask Southern Power why they hire IBEW contractors over others then.

John Oliver recently did a long segment on this. Available on YouTube.
Includes many Boeing employees being recorded saying they would never fly on the plane they were building. One guy said he would, but he had a death wish.

Half of that reads like a guy from Seattle who doesn’t like Boeing moving to other places.
“Trained Seattle workforce” lol. Like only the hippies in Seattle can build planes and they never hired anyone from anywhere else.
Well the 787 is a massive pile of shite and a gigantic part of that program was moving a ton of the build out of Seattle.
Boeing built great planes in Seattle. Now they build dogshit across the country/world.

The next major US air disaster will be directly tied to DEI.
What about the pedestrian foot bridge that collapsed and killed several in Florida? I’m pretty sure it was before DEI, but I’m also pretty sure the project was led by all women.

I see a lot of Boeing’s problems being blamed on the merger with McDonnell Douglas and the management takeover by MBA’s, but their planes are just as safe today as they have ever been. The 737 rudder design issue in the 90s happened before McDonnell Douglas.

It then got new management, which emphasized financial chicanery over top flight engineering, symbolized in its move of its corporate HQ from Seattle to Chicago.
And now it’s moving headquarters to Arlington, VA to be closer to govt.

It's a product of "money only" Americans. The same ones dumping millions of illegals into the country for cheaper labor. They don't care about culture, values, or broader society. What's in my bottom line?
It's not enough to be a millionaire, they have to be multi-millionaires and then billionaires.
There's got to be a better way to get rich in America that doesn't include exploiting it along the way and ruining it.

quote:every company, govt entity, firm seems like they just want all the cash they can get from every customer, client, fee payer. They want it now and don’t care about quality service accountability! GIVE ALL NOW!!! F all!!!
This is basically it. It’s not an elaborate conspiracy. It’s a tale of greed and dysfunction that you can see all over America.

I heard the same story as told in the OP. Boeing is now fully run by accounting and finance guys instead of aviation people.
That’s pretty much the entire documentary.
