A modern example of that is Josh Kiszka. He is like 5'6" but when he opens his mouth you could put a volleyball in it and not touch teeth.
LMAO I'm going to look him up, but Alanis morissette could swallow a microphone without it touching her teeth

Lead singer for Great Van Fleet. At least their first album was VERY Led Zepplinny and he was/is definitely channeling Plant. He has an insanely high vocal range. Not a big fan of the particular song by Light My Love shows his vocal range, IIRC it goes from A3 early in the song to belting out F5s near the end.

I'll mention 2 that haven't been (males) -
Geoff Tate and Sebastian Bach.
I'll have to think about female vocalists.

So here's the real question when you say singer I'm going to think 80% vocal 20% performance but if you say RockStar it becomes more of a 50-50 proposition
if songwriter is included, 33/33/33 all time talent
I value none greater than the other but all must be present
ad producer its 25/25/25/25 the greatest
and the true producer credit is tough to nail down
ROCKSTAR
Jagger and Freddie are the only 2 in the conversation

Janis Joplin or Ann Wilson
Came to post Paul Rodgers, but since he’s been mentioned and considering the timing…
Eric Carmen

Mick Jagger
&
Ann Wilson
I would have said Linda Ronstadt but she only fronted the Stone Poneys briefly.

Freddie Mercury-Queen
Ronnie James Dio-Rainbow
Steve Perry-Journey
Roger Daltry-The Who
Ozzie Osbourne-Black Sabbath

Maybe not the best vocalist but anyone who disputes him being the best frontman is either disingenuous or too young to remember late 70's/early 80's Van Halen. Diamond Dave was the epitome of a rock star.
