Looks like I am going to have to give up cold cuts.

Even Hormel's Natural Choice (no preservatives, no nitrites/nitrates, no artificial ingredients) got a poor or a bad (for the turkey but not the ham oddly) on my YUKA app (great app you just scan the barcode to get info on food). Also rated Publix feta cheese crumbles as bad, which really surprised me. Made me switch to goat cheese for salads.

are you 12% bodyfat with a ffmi of 24 or greater? is your blood work perfect? do you get 10k steps per day?
if not then why are you worried about complicated shite like this?

It's not complicated. The simpler the food, the better. I am going to stop eating cold cuts that are filled with cancer causing additives.

yet you are worrying about this while being over 15% bodyfat and not being high on the ffmi scale.....two huge, prolly the biggest outside of smoking, drinking etc, indicators of health and risk of cancer.
point was...cool give up the cold cuts but its really not the issue and not something to concern yourself over at this point.
not to mention much more likely to die of heart disease anyways.

Do you have a favorite FFMI calculator you could link?
It says I'm ~23.5 which I guess is good news but I definitely need to get the BF% way down

Thanks, looks like I'll need to get some measuring tape for this one but I rather enjoy tracking progress

. i usually just use ffmi calc

This guy is lost and they sent this post from the OT to this board. He’s probably mid fifties, does the elliptical at the planet fitness and is trying to figure out how to eat healthy via social influencers. Feel bad for people like this.

I’m like a 24.5 so I guess I’m gonna hop on stage?

On October 30th, 2002 David Letterman had longtime friend Warren Zevon on his show as his only guest. Recently, Zevon had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer (mesothelioma), and when Letterman asked him if he'd learned anything about the condition of life as a result of his diagnosis and impending death, Zevon famously made a statement that included the quote, "Enjoy Every Sandwich" ...
There is a middle ground in between "NO Cold Cuts For Life" & "Dying From Cancer"
Also, on Oct 30, 2002: some fricking dick shot and killed Jam Master Jay, it was a tough day.

I mean how much muscle do you have? What’s your height and weight? Unless you seriously strength train, prolly right

More than likely, his idea of strength training is going in and doing 4-5 machines for the same weight week after week, month after month.
Just kills me how many on this board worry about things that matter so little while overlooking the big things that take shite tons of consistency and effort

Make your own. Roast beef is easy. You can make turkey and chicken deli meat as well with a press.
Ham Press
Roast Beef
No need for a meat slicer but it would certainly help

quote:6 1, 172ish. I obviously have more visceral fat than I would like, but it's hard for me to believe my overall profile isn't at least in the 90th percentile for American adult males. I look outwardly thin, healthy and even somewhat muscular. I receive many unsolicited remarks about such.

I'm not saying I'm Mark Wahlberg, but it still seems crazy that I would be just barely on the right side of the "average" ffmi.
This strikes me as similar to the FICO score stuff. I can't imagine someone having a more pristine record than me, and I routinely hover around 800. And yet, that is also like "pretty good".
