She probably has at least four or five pilots that rotate

I’m sure she probably uses contract pilots and they aren’t part of her staff.

Edit: And she will likely have 3 pilots on her jet to fly across the Pacific.

If there are only two? I wouldn’t fly her around 300 days a year for anything less than 500k. You would have no life.

If there’s 4+… depends.

The singer has two multi-million dollar planes: a Dassault Falcon 7X, registered N621MM under Island Jet Inc, and a Dassault Falcon 900, registered N898TS under SATA LLC.

Both are big airplanes.

The 7X is huge.

The way it generally works is that she owns the planes but staffing, maintenance, any dispatching requirements, etc. is managed by someone else.

I doubt she employs her own pilots.

ETA: Some of the high end contract pilots can make upwards of $2,500/day.

Contract pilots are usually used for those who don’t use their planes on a consistent basis. She’s always on hers so she probably has at least 4 on staff and they are most likely certified to fly either aircraft.

Do the pilots just hang out in Tokyo or London when she has a five night run of concerts at the same venue? It’s one thing for a corporate pilot for BOA to chill at Teeterboro airport for 5 hours after a 1.5 hr flight from Charlotte to NY, waiting to fly the executives back after a meeting the same day. 5 days would be weird.

My last company had 2 pilots who were on call 24/7 for the company plane. I think they each pulled a base salary of $350k.

Being on call 24/7 and having to leave your fam for weeks on a whim of the CEO seemed pretty miserable.

There will be at least three pilots on her aircraft from Japan. I haven’t run the numbers, but hours wise it will take 3 if not 4 to rotate during that long of a flight.

They probably make around 150k annually. That’s about the average.

I used to run a small hotel that hosted a decent amount of corporate pilots, from Netjets and Flight options to pilots who flew exclusively for single employers. 20 years ago, I knew a couple of Lehman Brothers pilots who told me that the captain was at around $175k and the co-captain between $130-150. I bet that number is double today. Both were former military. Netjets guys made next to nothing, but got tons of hours.

A friend of mine that piloted for a wealthy European family via Clay Lacy showed me a paycheck for a weekend's work and it was 24K.

They don't make enough I could guess.

I know some guys who are on call for billionaire yachts. The pat is not worth it to get a call on a Friday night to leave for 3 weeks on a whim
