I understand not wanting to bring full blown casinos to your state if it will drain from the local economy, but online sports betting being illegal is bs.
If Texas ever wants to host another major sporting event, they need to wake up.
What platform do you go through and how?

Agreed. Texas blew it by not legalizing sport betting. Hard Rock resort is now moving to Oklahoma side of the lake instead of building in DFW like previously planned. Upside is the plans for the lakefront resort look amazing.

Yeah you have to use one of the offshore sites. It’s kinda dumb.

Lobbyists in Louisiana and Oklahoma are deep in Texas political pockets. Blatantly obvious.
We allow them to come gamble in exchange for their elite HS recruits. True for LSU and OU

I’m sure Texas is dying to be more like Louisiana

Isn’t that what Cuban sold the Mavericks for? To focus on bringing online betting to Texas?

What kind of Puritanical bullshite is preventing sports betting from being legal in all 50 states?

Didn't they just host the college football championship game a few weeks ago?
