Anything akin to Louisiana-Monroe beating a Saban-coached Alabama team in Tuscaloosa?

They beat Texas A&M once.

I remember them beating Texas A&M in Lafayette in the mid 90’s. That’s all I got.

The Piccadilly on Johnson Street always had a huge framed photo of USL’s win over #25 Texas A&M. I believe it what 1996 or so.

I was at that game. I never attended USL, but I was hammered at that game, and helped carry the goalpost out of cajun field. Had a blast.

I was there for the 96 game vs A&M. Wetaunted the Yell leaders the entire game.
When we won, we stormed the field, pushed down the Yell Leaders and tore down the goal posts.
Carried the goal posts out of the stadium. One ended up on Frat Row.
The Strip was BUMPING that night. Lots of grinding at the Keg.

Interesting story.. was on bourbon street in Razzooo’s celebrating some friends who had graduated college in December that weekend , and that place erupted when they made that kick and won
That is a core memory for me . It was so much fun.
That was the night my friend met his wife on bourbon street .
I remember that night very vividly

I remember the stories about BAMA going the Indy Bowl that year and the fans having to drive through Monroe with all the billboards showing the score…Go Warhawks !

They won the Big 12 and finished the season at #6 I think.
A&M
Iowa St
K-State
Are the biggest wins over named programs.
The Nola Bowl over SDSU is the biggest win in program history. Followed by beating App St for the SBC Championship at home in from of 30k is number 2.

Iowa State finished that season ranked #9 and beat Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl. Cajuns beat them 31-14 and finished ranked #15.
Huge win against a pre-season top 10 team led by Brock Purdy. UL went on to post consecutive seasons ranked in the top 20 in 2020/2021. Other than LSU the Cajuns are the only other college in Louisiana to ever finish in the top 25 consecutive seasons. Tulane almost did it this year.
That Iowa St. road win is what started it!

According to Winsipedia, UL beat the Miami Hurricanes in 1929. Long time ago, but still a win over a big name school.
