You guys don't know if Ohio State or Michigan's coordinators are as good as Baker.

Jim Knowles is undoubtedly more proven than Baker. He's had 2 consecutive power 5 stops now where he brought drastic improvement on defense.

Supposedly missou offered him 2.5 to stay and we matched.

Baker is a decent hire, but not worth the highest pay of all coordinators in the country
Anyone is better than house, but we need to recruit better hs kids and transfers on defense

SO you don't understand how the free market works? Got ya.

His monetary worth is totally dependent on his performance. LSU defense returns to their previous high standing he is worth it and more. If it does not then yeah money down the drain. I think it is a good hire from what i read, and I think BK got lot more riding on this than any one else. So if he is all in, the we fans need to be also.

No Michigan will be very late in a coaching search first of all.

Second of all they are going to want to keep as much continuity as possible after winning their first nc in over 50 years.

Third they know there’s possible sanctions so that’s going to hurt a national search

It's a combination of a lot of things

First of all Baker is from Houston, probably has an established relationship with many high school coaches in the area. Probably more contacts as well.

Second, his defenses have faced a lot more SEC offenses than both Ohio State and Michigan coordinators.

Michigan and Ohio State benefit from getting higher rated athletes than Missouri by sure tradition and money.

Maybe Brian Kelly doesn't like their defensive schemes for what he believes his LSU players can run ?

Maybe it's a personality thing? Sure, they maybe good coaches but he may not like them.

Also, who's to say that Michigan and Ohio State coordinators weren't asked and turn down the offer? Maybe the want to stay up north. Maybe they don't want to fool with the conference . Maybe they asked for too much money?

( Denbrock turned down A &M before going to Notre Dame)

His defense also stopped Ohio State in the bowl game.

Ultimately , it is up to Brian Kelly. He is the head coach . His decision

I’d argue that if you give Baker Michigan’s talent he would have stats like minters defense

What he’s done at Missouri is extremely impressive if you understand all the dynamics.

You Dumb asses are never satisfied what LSU does. You acting like you’re having to pay part of his salary. I bet you were a spoiled bitch as a kid oh wait a minute you still are. Give the guy a chance to earn it.

That's exactly how it works. LSU needs you in the negotiating room.

He gave up 49 points to JD, but everybody gave up a lot to him.
