They don't have a good answer for praying to dead "saints" other than they think they have more pull to get your prayers heard by God. If you just take this at face value you can see why this is just plain wrong. Most children can even see this clearly.
Why should we ask any Christian, in heaven or on earth, to pray for us when we can ask Jesus directly? If the mere fact that we can go straight to Jesus proved that we should ask no Christian in heaven to pray for us then it would also prove that we should ask no Christian on earth to pray for us.

Someone needs to invent a website people can go to and search for information.

Mass is said everyday. At every weekday Mass there are TWO Bible readings that are read to the congregation. The Priest then discusses the Bible lessons to the congregation. Every Sunday, THREE Bible passages are read and explained to the congregation.
Well thank God because I never met a Catholic that read the Bible themselves. But by God, they know Jesus turned water into wine and they'll make sure you know it's OK to drink and party.

Aren't you a Methodist? You should worry about your own problems instead of doubling down on hate. Catholics don't have your problem right now, which is, how to figure out whether the Bible is Pro Gay Sex or No Gay Sex.
I'm Assemblies of God. Pretty far away from Methodist.

Christians on earth aren't dead and can actually pray for you.

This thread is even further evidence that Protestants are obsessed with Catholics. They worry and fret over us way more than we do about them. Their very existence requires that they knock Catholicism down as often as possible. Been that way for 506 years.
To answer the OP’s question, if you don’t need the Bible today, I second the suggestion of the Ascension Press Great Adventure Bible. I ordered one for my wife and got it in about 4 days.

Nah... give y'all nary a thought except in threads like this, and that's mostly just to actually ask questions, not take shots at. If that makes sense. I honestly don't understand why you pray to dead people and ask them to take those prayers to God instead of praying to God directly. But whatever... not like doing one or the other is going to keep either of us out of Heaven if we are truly saved.

Good news is I really don't identify with a church. Just closest to what I believe. I actually don't know anything about A/G denomination.
But that said, don't see why a woman couldnt be ordained. I just dont think they should be primary church pastors.

The Catholic church can't get out of it's own way. It's been in decline for a while now.

Just a shite ton of Bible verses that seem to be against it, but hey, why not.

Have you ever asked a friend to pray for you? Have you ever prayed to God on behalf of another? It's the same thing in a round about way.

I guess... I mean... my friends and I are alive... the saints are dead. To me, that is no different than asking my couch to pray for me. But maybe that's just me.

So you think once a person dies, that’s it?
