At work we use a flat strip steel that comes in coils. It has some kind of oil on it as a rust preventative. If you get cut by it, and you will get cut, the fricking thing will bleed forever. Something about the oil must prevent coagulation.

You have to let it air out because wounds need air to heal. Try keeping it out of a band aid as much as possible.

No visible bone/tendon, it’s not that bad.

Some neosporin and a tight bandaid. I’ve had many cuts on my fingers and hands, a few I’ve seen innards.

It’s still bleeding because of how you cut it. Instead of cutting at a 90 degree angle to the skin, you cut it at an angle causing a skin avulsion type injury.

This causes the subcutaneous vessels to get cut radially instead of transected straight across. When vessels get cut straight across they can contract and coagulate. When they get cut radially they can’t contract and it’s harder to get the bleeding to stop.

No worries though, it’ll stop. Agree with other posters: no need for alcohol or peroxide. Just soap and water. Pat dry. Gentle compressive dressing will help to stop it bleeding.

What wrong with a little peroxide or alcohol burn when you first cut it? Or are you talking about people that keep apply those on a regular basis?

neosporin

Last week I had a skin cancer cut off my arm and the doctor told me to use polysporin not neosporin.

No. Just some sores on my dick that won't heal. Probably because they're itchy and I'm always scratching them.
