Hypothetically, let’s say he wins the natty and decided to retire after this season. Regardless of who his replacement would be, how many kids do you think would transfer?

I’m not trying to troll but I feel like a lot of bama’s talent stems from other states and without Saban there I feel like a lot of kids especially with NIL and the portal now would transfer. Just curious what it would take to keep the majority of them there and the wheels on the wagon.

Not many. Bama has a deep state that plays the long game. Saban is just one of the pieces. The players will be taken care of.

Depends on who the replacement is.

I can’t imagine Saban bowing out without there being a replacement ready to be installed smoothly. He’s not going to standby and watch the empire crumble.

This is what LSU fans do all day. Dream of Saban retiring and the consequences of that happening. Keep dreaming.

Our guys actually play for Bama and themselves believe it or not. You can all roll your eyes at that but tell me which school out there would keep a no. 1 overall pick and two more top 15 picks locked in for a meaningless bowl game? The answer is only Bama.

Look at the Covid year. LSU players all gtfo with a quickness. There’s no loyalty in Cajun country.

Regardless if Saban retires this year, it's been as great a run as I'll ever live to see again.

I thought coach Bryant was the peak of Alabama's football dynasty.

No idea. There would be some no doubt. Hard to read kids these days.

I would not wish the Bama job on my worst enemy after Saban retires. No matter how well they do (and I have no doubt Saban has a good plan) they will not be able to replace tGOAT. Expectations will be too high and unreasonable.

He should make a run at the White House.

bullshite 2.0, you hope, pray and ask Santa for Saban to leave. LSU fans began 16 years ago with “he’ll be gone in a few years” to now, “I can’t wait till Saban leaves”…if he leaves, he leaves, we’ll get somebody better than Brian fricking Kelly that’s for sure.

Why retire this year, when he has a loaded team next year primed to go 16-0?

Some would. Most of these kids came to play for Bama, not Saban.

The real question is, how many Bama fans decide to hit the transfer portal.

If Saban actually wins the playoff, he will retire.

A few more seasons and he’ll have 20 years at Bama. Didn’t see that coming. What a ride it’s been.

Alabama can’t recruit the state exclusively and do well but the State of Alabama is way underrated when it comes to putting out top college ball players. We could do well staying in state.

You have been dealing with this for 18 years. You have not let go. I don’t know if anything will help.

Houston Nutt has been patiently waiting for Saban to recommend him again.
