Maybe something you’ve worn for years or a brand you swear by.

Wife beater

Never goes out of style and folks north of the Ohio Ocean look at you when you are out in the snow wearing one.

Barbour with liner if weather is foul and very cold. Just Barbour if slightly cold and wet. Peter milar puffy if dry and cold.

Carhart if I’m working around the farm

Flip flops in the snow with the wife beater makes it a real show stopper

Getting in a fight helps keep you warm but being beefy in the first place helps. Booze helps too!

Been wearing the same style north face for over ten years. Not too thick not too thin. Just right for the temps and outer layer keeps me dry on rainy days. I can layer underneath without feeling bulky too.

Early fall I have an arcteryx atom that I love. Once the temp dips I have sitka puffy that I love. If I have to look decent the filson wool shows up. If it is single digit wind chills I have an old camo parka that weighs a metric ton but is very very warm and windproof.

About ten years ago I was in the market for a leather jacket. I had a leather bomber jacket that I'd had since college and it was getting pretty worn out.

I decided I would get the coolest leather jacket I could think of. And what is the coolest leather jacket I could imagine?

The Indiana Jones by Wested Leather.

Wested is the company that designed and made the jacket for Raiders.

They offer custom built authentic Indy jackets fitted to your specs with the details you choose.

It's been a great jacket and just looks better and better as it gets more broken in.

This Patagonia jacket has lasted me at least seven (7) years so far. They make quality jackets in my view.

Men's Isthmus Parka ($269)
