Exactly.

If you can “eyeball test” the four seed into the playoffs, just eyeball test the national champion, do away with the pointless exhibition of a “playoff” and go back to the way things were pre-BCS era.

An old adage, “Not the best team, but the team that is playing best”. The committee’s job is to pick the best four teams TODAY. They got it right.

We're crack addicts shivering in the alley on a cold Saturday morning desperate for our fix and they know it.

There is no leverage, justice or hope. It's an autocracy of assholes. They completely changed the sport for the worse and then patted themselves on the back. And when some women's volleyball team has to fly across the entire country and back TWICE during finals week due to conference realignment they will simply lean back, count their money and say, "so fricking what".

FSU had more yards in the ACCCG then Michigan had in their championship game.

So from reading the CFP information from there website. There is a lot of ways they went way from what they were supposed to do.

When they created this, they for one were supposed to eliminate the eye test. So they are supposed to compare teams with similar records. 3 teams of undefeated should have been compared then the teams with other records. So the three with undefeated records should have been left in and then move on to the next comparisons. That would have been the next in line with teams with one lost, as those are not comparable with a no loss team. So to the part about an important player is mute, because only 3 teams were "at the margin" were comparable.

They have another section that says the regular season is unique and should be "preserved".

In another section they went out of their way to make sure {teams who "deserve" to be selected} are not to be left out. So the narrative, on the most "deserving" or the "best" , is also mute, because they have it listed.

So they went out of their way, to go away from what they were supposed to do, because of their "eye" test, which is not supposed to be part of the selection process.

Yes, quietly but quite well stated.

Why can’t the committee have an official press conference where journalists representing each conference get to ask the tough questions for their thought process on including/excluding teams.

If so, then maybe they may think twice of snubbing someone deserving ….

I say this because I would love to hear from them how Alabama’s miracle win against crappy Auburn was glossed over when they snubbed Florida State for barely beating a top 15 ranked team with their 3rd string qb.

Or Georgia vs Boise st
Or bama vs Notre dame
Or bama vs michigan

I think they really want Michigan to get beat.

Ohio State, Georgia, and Alabama were the rosters best constructed to beat Michigan.

NCAA is not a Harbaugh fan, but did not have the stones to leave them out.

I kind of hope Michigan wins anyway.

When Bama beats Michigan, and then UT they will absolutely not have back doored.

Their last 3 wins would be:

1. Undefeated Georgia
2. Undefeated Michigan
3. 1 loss UT. Revenging their loss

Hardly a back door.

This is correct.

Under THEIR RULES, you don’t get to the analysis they supposedly performed between Bama and FSU until you determine they are “otherwise comparable teams.” There was no way to possibly determine they were “otherwise comparable teams” (two teams with different W-L records) WITHOUT THE ANALYSIS.

Ask anyone to tell you how Bama and FSU were deemed “otherwise comparable teams” and you will see the circular topsy-turvy “logic” that had to be employed to get here.

I love this logic. The self-fulfilling prophecy.

Like that genius Reece Davis said in 2011: "You give Nick Saban enough chances, he will eventually beat you!"

Well, no shite, sherlock.

Give me Bama's roster, schedule, and favorable officiating and I could "eventually beat" any program if given enough chances.

PS - Saban and Bama fans aren't going to mail you a prize for the blow jobs.

This is loser talk.

And their 1 loss is to another playoff team.

They won the SEC and beat an undefeated Georgia who had won 29 games in a row.

This isn’t that hard to grasp.
