Saw a guy vaping in between sets of bench presses.

Saw a couple of guys working out with free weights.

When they finished one pulled out a tape measure and started measuring the other guys muscles.

At the Y on Old Hammond near Oneal about a decade ago, there was this old skinny guy who used to do the weirdest routine on the treadmill. I don't know what to call it - strutting, twerking, forward, backward. Slowly. Each step he'd make some kind of pose or move. It was odd.

Was swimming at a 24 hr fitness back when I did triathlons. Finished a long set and was resting at the wall. The pool area had a hot tub, sauna, steam room, etc.. See an employee walking quickly to the sauna. He stepped in then ran out dry heaving with a white face. But didn't treat it like an emergency, just an F-that attitude afterwards. The thought of what he saw in there made me nauseous and I couldn't finish my workout, lol.

5 years ago, before my home gym, I had to workout at a planet fitness. There was a guy in there in very good shape. The weird part is he would be in there for hours, doing 1/8 reps. As in 1/8 range of motion. He would put one foot up on the lat pull-down leg rest and proceed to rep 2” pull downs. Or leg extensions barely lifting his legs. Didn’t use that much weight either. So bizarre. And he was in excellent shape!

Saw this guy who was obviously listening to Michael Jackson while on the treadmill. Dancing and moonwalking all over the place while on a brisk pace.

It was me.

I work out at a small, neighborhood fitness center that is like… off the beaten path. Like located inside a retreat center on top of a “mountain”. We live 3 minutes from it. It’s so bougie, that they don’t even really have locks or any sort of checkin system. So some folks have figured it out and started coming there for free.

I rolled in at 5am one morning. Usually it’s quiet without any real music unless you’re in a group fitness class and the folks in the weight room use headphones. This morning, though, someone had commandeered the PA to blare snoop dogg, which I could hear as I approached. I walk in to a huge ripped brother with a full jerry curl, no shirt, tight arse short shorts, rambunctiously crip walking to west coast gangster rap in between sets. It was one of the most awesome things I’ve seen at a gym in all honesty. Not sure where he came from or where he went, but I haven’t seen him since.

If this was the PF in Tuscaloosa then I saw the same dude.

I came here to post my exact encounter with this man. I used to love watching him on leg press. He would load up crazy weight and do these tiny leg presses.

Back in 99-2k, there was 2 dudes that would bring in the huge video camera and record themselves. If they only knew what that would become..

Had one cat, he was a special Ed kid always just ha going in gym. He loaded the leg press machine never did a rep. Then processed to unload one side. Entire thing flipped over.

Dutchtown Anytime: two huge guys, jacked, wearing muscle wifebeaters and what looked like running shorts kissing on the leg press.

Guy on a business trip came in and bought a day pass. He did something like 500 calf raises. The next day he couldn't get out of bed and somebody from his work had to come get him.

Saw a guy doing lateral raises clap his dick between the dumbbells. I'll never forget that scream.

There is a guy whose gf comes in wearing her work clothes and follows him to every machine and stands next to him while he works out. It’s not him. It’s her. She’s some crazy psycho gf.

He’ll be in there working out and she’s dressed like she’s in a board meeting standing right next to him

Was a member at a key gym in late 90's and you obviously had to have a key to get in. Former pro wrestler Iron Sheik would show up often smelling of alcohol with his 'WWF' blue and yellow duffel bag from the 1980's and would wait outside the door and use a towel to do all these stretches waiting for someone who was a member to come and use their key and he would follow them inside. Once inside he would pin the lat pull down to the bottom and using the worst form I have ever seen would do lat pull downs while screaming "I am Iron Sheik!!!" like he was motivating himself or something. It was bizarre. His form on everything was absolutely awful and he used weights that were waaaay too heavy I'm not sure how he never tore anything. Dude was an absolute machine though he would be sweating like crazy and would be in there for hours doing a total body workout. He was eventually kicked out and banned from gym.

Wrestler Chris Benoit worked out at a World Gym was I was member of in late 90's early 2000's. His wife/girlfriend 'Woman' would follow him around and load and unload all the plates/barbells/machines for him. He never loaded or unloaded anything she was like his slave or something. I never saw him pick up a dumbbell heavier than 30 pounds when training arms. He was short but had big upper body. Would also talk to himself in between sets. Really weird. Didn't surprise me when he did what he did.

There was this Samoan guy who would show up in shorts and a tank top and flip flops didn't matter how hot or cold it was and he would walk in and load up 315 on the bench and rep it 15 times or so then put 405 and do it 5 or 6 times then 495 and do 1 or 2 reps then would leave. He was insanely strong and I never saw him do anything but flat bench for 10 minutes then leave.

10" sack print on the wood in the sauna via the 85 year old man free balling in there. Time and gravity are a mofo.
