Got a lot of his players. GT not exactly the hotbed for recruiting. His intensity and overall philosophy fits LSU to a T.

Well Tenuta may be a good choice if the rumors of VK accepting a co-DC job with K-State are true.

Next time open your eyes. Found this in thirty seconds...
quote:

In 2007, Georgia Tech led the nation in sacks, averaging 3.69 per game, and ranked fourth in tackles for loss per game. His overall defense ranked 20th in the country, allowing 330.4 yards per game, and the rushing defense ranked 20th (allowing 114.5 yards). The Rambling Wreck allowed fewer than 21 points per game, as the defense ranked 21st nationally in scoring defense. Junior defensive tackle Vance Walker was named first-team all-ACC and a third-team All-American by Rivals.com, while linebacker Philip Wheeler and defensive end Darrell Robertson were each named all-ACC second-team performers.

and it came from here with plenty more to read. Let's not forget he had Reggie Ball running the offense for four terrible years and his D stayed on the field way too long.

Can you imagine what he would have been yelling at our guys this year after they quit ost Bama game? Or maybe he wouldn't have had to. Maybe we would not have been in that position in the first place if he would have been there.

The audio would have consisted of:
"You stupid Bleeeping, son of a Bleeeeping____"

In fact he reminds me of my coach at in JC.

Didn't Miles interview him last year, and to say he failed the interview would be gratious...

yeah I thought I remember him being known as an a-hole who can't get along with other coaches?

Maybe that is just what we need though...a little hot head to light a fire under everyone's arse.

Cool...he'll be like Saban. As long as he runs a D like Saban, I'm fine with it. It's not like I have to be around him.

I'm with you, but I get the feeling Miles is a big pussy and wants a "nice" guy he will get along with when what we need is a Tenuta. I love his speech, that last video. He is talking about exactly what we need(offense not dictating/ballhawking) and we have the talent to be a deadly combo with Tenuta.

Tenuta would make my Christmas season. Getting him to run our defense would be a huge hire and the most important of Miles' career.

Right on the money. Tenuta is our man. His philiosophy is to not let the QB set his feet, for the pre snap looks to be different from the post snap, and for a Tenuta defense to dictate what the offense does. We do none of the above right now.

i watched every GTech game last year, I was amazed when I heard their DC was in the running to coach LSU. never, during any of those games, did i think their D was anything but average. absolutely nothing jumped out at me as far as them being aggressive or especially good at anything, and thier stats back that up.

If you just google the guy and look at what his defense's at Ga Tech did every year then you would have the "stats to back it up" You obviously wouldn't make a good coach and most men in the profession of coaching football would laugh at you for your remarks and I am one of them.

LSU gave up 326 yards a game and 105 rushing yards a game this year, our worst D in 10 years, the reason were all on here tryng to fire our DCs, yet the guy your in love with did WORSE than that in the case you make for him.
