That's cool...besides the fact he's never ran the D at ND.

Well i was just trying to illustrate his enthusiasm and intensity to what he would bring to the DC position at LSU. Everyone knows how good he was at GA Tech. I think we need a guy like him to bring that intesity that tenacity that LSU clearly lacked this year on D. That Killer instinct if you will.

He seems to have the same mannerisms as Saban. He's constantly looking around, rarely making eye contact. Almost as if someones trying to get him. He actually sounds alot like Saban in the interview.

I guess I don't. So how good was he? Examples?

Listening to and watching Tenuta only illustrates how badly coached our defense was this year.

I'm not following the coaching search too closely because I'd get as anxious a kid on Christmas Eve. So, I'm taking the wait and see approach until the announcement is made.

But, I think LSU is still a good defense away from being back at the top. Crowton does have me scratching my head on several things this year with the O, but he earned the benefit of the doubt with his '07 performance. We'll really see where he's headed with our offense in '09.

Good stuff, thanks for posting.

This guy reminds me so much of Mike Stoops when he was D-Coordinator of the Sooners. He would absolutely flip shite on the sidelines all game long. And guess what? Nobody did a damn thing against his defense.

"We don't want the QB to set his feet"

"We want to dictate to the offense, not have the offense dictate to us."

The best possible passing defense is pressuring the quarterback, most DCs don't understand that and try to make things too complicated, we need Tenuta, he gets it.

Love this guy as a DC!! I was expecting him to be a dick to the media in that clip(Sabanish). Seemed very professional to me.

The funny thing is, a lot of folks on the rant wanted him last year as our DC, but Les though he could duplicate BP with the two headed monster Malveto.

i watched every GTech game last year, I was amazed when I heard their DC was in the running to coach LSU. never, during any of those games, did i think their D was anything but average. absolutely nothing jumped out at me as far as them being aggressive or especially good at anything, and thier stats back that up.

i simply do not get the love affair with this guy. were talking about the linebacker coach at a crap program. i don't see him mentioned for any new jobs this year. someone please tell me why hes so great, and not just some projected fantasy. not "well with our athletes..." yes, of course he'd have better players here, but he'd also be going up against better players every week in the SEC. at Tech he took an ACC level D against an ACC level O, and came out ranked around 20. i guess we were so bad this year being ranked 20th suddenly seems pretty good.
