The school is private, right off i10 and really cheap to attend, compared to STM, Teurlings, Notre Dame, so any student from the Lafayette, Crowley, Breaux bridge area can attend. It’s basically a public school so you either go to STM, Acadiana, Carencro, or LCA if you want to win a football. Two of those, you must zoned for and the other is really expensive.

HS football would be so much more interesting if people stayed at their local school. Things like Broadmore kids upsetting nationally ranked John Curtis, twice, with kids from the neighborhood is a story that will live forever.

Broadmoor used to get alot of kids bussed in from Scotlandville. As soon as Scotlandvile went back to being a normal high school with athletics, Broadmoor football went to shite

You're either trolling or naïve.

ND has recruited for decades.

Always has been. The academy’s are over 20 years old. Out of zone students can enter Lafayette schools through their academies, but you have to test in, be admitted through waiting list, and actually have an IQ. You can’t recruit using the academy as not everyone will be accepted, plus they will require transportation

ND combs over all the neighboring parishes and tries to take guys from the small towns that aren’t superstars but if they would stay at their local school would make that school great but instead they go to ND and it just hurts the local public schools

100% not true.

Let me break it down for you. ND is the only Catholic high school in Acadia parish and Jeff Davis parish but theres a few Catholic elementary schools in both parishes. Those parents decide if they want to continue sending there kids to private school after elementary graduation. So no they dont recruit. So they get a few kids from the feeder schools which happens to be outside the city of Crowley. How is that recruiting? Please explain.

You sound like one of those Iota losers who thinks they would have won a state title if ND “wouldn’t have stolen all our good players!”

Yep but in reality we get no football players from St Francis in Iota. Maybe one every 2-3 years. But you hear everyone crying we stole some players. Lol

This made my head hurt. Northside was a dumpster fire when Shelvin left. As another poster mentioned, there are Catholic middle schools in Church Point, Rayne, Crowley, and Jennings, but no Catholic High school. It’s not rocket science.

Bingo we have a winner..

You wanna why ND is good in football? Ashton Cassidy, Louis Cook, tradition, discipline, and some hard nosed white country and small town boys. That’s it.

My three nephews went to Egan and ND offered my brother partial tuition discount for all three to go there for basketball. What do you call that?

Hold up, so they are recruiting by making the private school cost the same as the public school?

If the public school is so good then why not stay there?

I went to public but yall are insane with the recruiting BS.

Tell the public schools to offer better education without the class disruptors, better facilities, better coaching. Do that and kids won’t leave.

Ain’t like they are paying the parents to get them to go there.

I cal that offering a kid to still have to pay for something that would otherwise be free.

If Egan was worth a shite people wouldn’t think twice about even considering it

People don’t leave barbe or Sam Houston baseball unless they can’t play. Why??? Because the facilities and coaching are top notch, they win and the schools are good.

You have get say who notre dame recruited. If you can’t name a single player that pretty embarrassing thing to call out. No one can trust anything you say anymore
