Their fajitas are top tier.

I went today for lunch. Got the Crazy Javier. Probably an 8oz filet, cut like butter and was melting in flavor...with a load of onions and peppers, beans and rice. 22$

They swear it’s not true, but who knows. They make the top shelf ones right in front of you, but the house I think is prebatched.

Not like you’d know if Everclear was in one of the squirt bottles when they make it in front of you anyway, I suppose

Has it been confirmed that the use Everclear in their margs or was that just a rumor to explain how trashed people get off their drinks?

Maybe they did a long time ago, but I do know for a long time they used the 60 proof cheap triple sec instead of the 30 proof everyone else uses. I believe they stopped that (60 proof being less common has become more difficult to get) and the margs haven’t been strong lately, in my opinion. The higher proof triple sec makes a much bigger difference than I think most people would think.

And as far as making money, food doesn’t matter in this debate. Think who sells the most alcohol with the best margins and that’s who makes the most money. That would def be superior highland. Real answer would be Fred’s, if you guys would let them in the debate

It'd be kinda hard to disguise that nasty taste of Everclear.

A friend from high school bartended at the one on Government for ages. He says they just used a lot of cheap tequila and real triple sec. He's been gone from there a long time, so things may have changed.

I've heard from countless people who claim Superior margs aren't as strong anymore, so they've probably reduced the amount of booze going into the mix. I asked one of the managers at Highland if they changed the recipe, and he swore they had not.

Superior on highland, but I'd be willing to bet French Market Bistro is pretty high up there.

Their fully loaded chargrilled oysters are the best ive ever had.

Way back in the day, in the 90s, they did, not sure about now. By the way, a large marg outside of HH is now $22…yikes!

Nothing in your statement is factual. They’ve had less than a handful of $100k game days since opening. Ghost town when it’s not baseball or football season. That location is $4mm at best which would be middle of the pack for that company
