That was after Alvarez hit the home run

No, it wasn't. It showed up after the Alvarez HR because I was literally typing my response and hit Submit, then I saw the Alvarez HR. And the point still stood because it wasn't about Alvarez. It was about Bregman swinging at the first pitch of the inning against a guy with noted control problems and then worthless-arse Tucker, who swings for the fences every time. Bregman pops up and Tucker does what he's done all postseason. Needed one guy to get on base for that Yed HR to tie the game and they couldn't do that against a guy in Chapman who can't find the strike zone easily and who is a head case pitching at Minute Maid. I don't recall seeing you much around here in the regular season, but this team does this on a regular basis. It's why they had a losing record at home. Selfish at-bats and a laissez-faire attitude.

Again, if you want pollyanna, they-can-do-no-wrong praise of these guys, you should try another thread. I'm like most folks around here. I want these guys to win, but I have no problem calling them out when they don't get the job done. I'm a fan. That's what most fans do.

Adding to that last post, I wish we had some Bryce Harper level frick you attitude and fire to drive this club. Bregman lost it somewhere along the way. We've got a team full of nice boys who play without any emotion.

All have been hot. All have gone into extended slumps. Most of them are currently ghosting the post season.

In the past, this team was at its offensive best when they kept the line moving, be it via walks, or line drive hits and, of course, the big home run. But everyone now seems to be swinging for the fences, regardless of the situation. Chas twice shite the bed trying to be a hero when all he needed to do was get on base. There's too much of that going around.

Yed is killing the ball but it does almost no good when no one is on in front of him.

Bregman lost any semblance of swag after his cheating apology tour.

Still, Tucker’s body language irks me more than anyone.

Bud I've forgotten more about baseball than you'll ever know You sound as if you're at your mental breaking point, maybe take a look at the posts before me and after me and then shut off the computer. Either way, idgaf

The juiced balls are in Philly

I think we’ll see them in Arlington

Pena’s ball may have left the yard

Plenty of blame everywhere but bullpen. Bottom of the lineup is just weak as a whole. Random thoughts as I watch NLCS

We are spoiled. You can better understand a fanbase like Alabama’s, when you experience a run like we’ve had the last 7 years. LOL

We don't have the fire that we used to have. Sometimes it pops up, lots of times it doesn't. Some key situations on offense that could of been a deal breaker in the past, not the present.

His attitude is what pisses me off the most, I can deal with fielding errors if you give effort after the first 2 reached you could tell his demeanor changed and that led to the fielding error he’s like a child out there pouting he should be embarrassed and wouldn’t mind if I never saw him in an Astros uniform again

I want some mother frickers with a mean streak in em. Not a afraid to piss somebody off. Guy that shows up at the ballpark pissed off because the other team is trying to keep him from winning. Guy that hits a home run and stares a guy down around the bases.

Altuve
Tucker
Alvarez
Abreu
Brantley
Pena

All are like the chillest, nicest dudes ever. We don't play with much fire.

I wouldn’t change anything, because Jed was a huge part of a WS title, but we miss Carlos in that regard

Yeah. Correas "it's my time" thing. He owned his moment. This is my moment, I'm taking it from you and I don't care if it pisses you off.

Tucker, Altuve, and Chas are disasters right now.

Speaking of which, disastrous loss. My God. I guess we play better on the road though so we'll automatically do better.

1 man offense. When he strikes out 3 times, we get shut out.

I would still like to think we still have a chance (which I still do), but there are two things that are huge issues:

1) Need another Framber start if you want to win this series. With the way he's pitching, that mother fricking SCARES me.
2) We would have to win at home. We can't do that either for some reason so if another game were to be played here, I'd be SCARED.

Unless folks get on in front of him, I’m not sure he sees much to hit the rest of the series

I'm walking Alvarez every AB. He's the only one that's doing any damage.

The team that wins the first 2 in the 2-3-2 format has won the series 90% of the time. We're probably toast. Well earned.

Honestly I don't know what the frick their problem is at Minute Maid. Some of the outcome is just random chance off the bat, it's a draw of who you face. But when damn near the entire lineup hits considerably better away from home, there's an issue that needs to be fixed

Altuve
Home .264
Road .349

Bregman
Home .250
Road .273

Yordan
Home .278
Road .307

Abreu
Home .227
Road .246

Tucker
Home .251
Road.315

Pena
Home .242
Road .284

Dubon
Home .263
Away .291

There's only 3 regulars who have better numbers at home

Chas
Home .284
Road .262

Maldy
Home .215
Road .168

Yainer
Home .328
Road .231

They've hit 38 more Home runs on the road despite those stupid Crawford Boxes 315 feet away at home. How?
