I GC'd my home build while also doing a lot of the work myself. It's a huge time commitment and I was only able to do it because I worked from home and lived on site. We did save quite a bit of money though....

That's a good price. I am getting a 500 gallon above ground tank installed now and it's ~$5,200 with the propane included. Underground tank would be ~$10,300 due to excavation, increased tank cost, anode bag, and labor. I am only using it for my pool/spa heater and outdoor grill....
