Meanwhile, the man of blubber behind the plate rolls on with no maladies whatsoever. Healthiest guy on the team.

At seasons end were gonna learn he played through a broken wrist, 3 hernias, a torn mcl and partial blindness in his right eye

This will be the 2nd most shocking revelation, right behind finally learning that Yuli is Lourdes' father and not older brother...

Just bringing this over from the other thread... I was at my son's games last night until 10:30. Did not get to keep up with the thread, wouldn't have anyway even if I were at home.

But catching up today, I see this gem... and it should be posted again and get the recognition that it deserves:

quote:

Dusty Baker on Texas manager Bruce Bochy: "I've always said that it's harder to manage against the person than it is against analytics or a computer, because a lot of times the computer and analytics will tell you.. I respect Bruce. He's got a lot of brains in the head up there.'

quote:

Hey man it's like this. You think when the wallaby eats an avacado toast at 11:30 that he's going to claim Bob Saget as a dependent on his taxes but then the reality hits you that the opposite of square is sunglasses.

I really don't care for Chas being in today's lineup.

Maldonado has twice the ABs as Chas vs Eovaldi with the same number of Ks

Dubon struck the ball well last night and puts the ball in play more.

Chas vs LHP

Yea I’d rather have Dubon out there. Chas has gotten some hits this postseason but the at bats never look comfortable and nothing is barreled.

Dubon is barreling balls and looking to ambush fastballs. If we didn’t have such an unproductive fat piece of shite batting 9th he’d be an elite 9 hole hitter to set the table for the top of our lineup to strand him in scoring position

I’ll be that guy…..If Yordan is gonna go 0-4 with 4K while he has a virus then he needs to be benched and let Diaz DH

It's kinda infuriating how easy it would be to just roll out Yainer, Chas, Pena 7-8-9 and how different the lineup would feel... but I'm trying to stay positive

Back in Dustyworld, where Yainer can't play, I can't see benching Chas for Dubon. Yeah, he's been hitting well, but these games are being won with homers. Already have enough guys in the lineup lacking power.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take Yainer over Moldy every single time and wish Dusty would. But, his willingness to expand the zone basically every at bat worries me in post szn baseball

It must be contagious. Because just watching his at bats last night gave me diarrhea.

I think we all liked what Diaz did last time in Arlington, but Yed is like 7-11 off of Eovaldi

I'll take him sick or not today

What the ever living hell is Dusty talking about? He answers a simple question like a Dave Chapelle character.
