Not to OPs extreme, but I pretty well hate my job. This is what gets me through and keeps me going. I try to do the right thing and do something good to help people. If I was unable to do this I think I’d literally walk out.

TLDR: there’s power for yourself in helping others

I’ve been through it, in a better place now but it still lingers.

I’ve said a prayer for you and hope you are able to find solace from your situation. Keep trusting in the Lord and he will show you the light . Maybe try taking stock of things which may be causing you distress and see if you can change or modify those, if that is possible. Best of luck and God bless you.

Life sucks sometimes.

Try not to only think about the negative.

Journaling may help.

Write down the positives in your day.
They can be simple small and seem insignificant. But they are still positives.

You have a job

You have people you care about.

You have electricity

You have internet assess with all of its resources.

Did you eat today. -positive

Know that it may take time.

Dont give up.

Seek out support groups for those that may be having the same experience as you.

Exercise.

Something as simple as putting phone down and taking a short walk in nature.

Get proper amount of sleep

Every time I’ve followed the “what would Jesus do?” motto, it has never failed.

I’m not sure what God has planned for you, but I know you’re not alone. God will never give you more than you can handle. Praying for you.

Keep moving forward, even if it is a half a step a day. In a year you will turn around and see that you are further down a new road. Each day is an opportunity and gift to make a small improvement in your life. Prayers sent.

Keep your faith, get professional help, do vigorous, regular exercise and lean on your family. It sounds like you have a job, so try not to frick that up.

I've been through some shite and what helped me is to trust there are good people out there that can help. Reach out to family, friends, pastors.

Outside of that without any more info, we can't give more relevant advice.

The first thing to do is take a deep look inside and determine if there is any self-destruction going on. I don't mean just substance abuse some people just think they function better in chaos and subconsciously self-sabotage. I used to be this way because I always "needed" a problem to find the best motivation.

Don't give up on therapy only give up on therapists. People aren't a math problem to solve so a different therapist with a different set of tools might do a much better job unlocking your mind. Your therapist may have been metric and you might have an SAE mind.

The one thing not to do is give up so stay vigilant. Every second you aren't working on getting better the hole is getting deeper. There are almost certainly people who care about you and if it feels differently then it may be they can't stand to watch you slipping farther and farther away from "yourself".

We are all fricked up. The ones that don't look fricked up have found tools to help them. Search for joy, if it doesn't make you happy get rid of it.

If you want any sort of serious advice, you need to be more specific and provide details. Not to sound rude, but rarely do bad things just keeping happening to someone over and over without that person somehow causing or contributing to it.

Sorry for the trials you are having to endure in life. Please do yourself a favor and don't quit.

Have you been to a doctor to have your hormone levels, etc., checked? Also, don't give up on counseling.

Prayers sent for you. Take care!

Man I’ve 100% been there. I promise you it’ll get better. Sometimes it didn’t even make sense but I’m so thankful for the faith I had that help me through it and I know you will be to.

The only advice I can give you is to keep with counseling. Also I found a bible study and met some really great people that helped me through it.

The last 3 years have been a nightmare for me.

I say this with all the compassion and empathy in the world….Life is a nightmare for everyone. People don’t admit it. There is goodness in the inbetween.

These difficulties are in your life to teach you something. Find the lesson and move on to the next lesson.
Dr Gabor Mate’ is a good listen. He talks about trauma and tragedy. Keep fighting the good fight. We all are. You’re not alone.

God is proud that you get up and try. Don’t worry about the wins or losses. Trying is a win in itself. Get up everyday and keep trying. When it’s all over you will see the importance of what you’ve done…just by trying. Don’t quit now.

I'm starting to be angry to the ones I love and co workers and can't stop myself from doing so. I tried counseling and it didnt work. If I wasn't a Christian, I honestly dont think I would be here right now.

First off, your fulfillment and satisfaction solely comes from Christ. I’m sorry that the world has let you down. There’s still more of his glory to see and be made known.

Second, I don’t know if this is on your radar and I hate to introduce it if not, but please let me assure you, that nobody will be better off if you’re gone.

Absolutely nobody will be happier if you’re gone.

I have a coworker that I can’t stand and does a million things that makes my life miserable and is suicidal, but I’d cry like a baby if he did something stupid.

Friend,

You will be every day in my prayers and I will also ask for the prayers of the family. Know that you are loved infinitely by God and we welcome you with arms wide open. You are our friend, and we use that term with utmost seriousness on this forum. Friend, the world and this forum are far better places because you are here. Do not lose heart and keep praying always. We will for you because you bring us great joy and we love you for it. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.

Your friend and brother in Christ,
TulaneLSU
