a bunch of name calling started when someone disagrees that Yoder and Franklin are gods.

this happens in every franklin thread.

I disagreed with Ramrod on brisket prices, but anyone that thinks Yoder is a fake I’m on board with in at least that regard

I won’t call Franklin a God, but he is the leader of current BBQ. Johnny and even when Chuck was there helping out both learned under the tutelage of Franklin. Johnny also had other influences but if you think Franklin wasn’t huge despite them not liking him personally you’re wrong. Lane was lucky enough to work with other great cooks as well as Jalen, but saying Franklin didn’t have a part in the current #1 TM bbq spot would be wrong.

The “detail” is that your stubborn defiance is proof of how egotistical you are.

Defiance? I admitted Costco does put their briskets on sale once in a blue moon. Big whoop. You have still yet to bring anything else to the conversation except trying to "get me".

I never said that.....but Franklin saying he learned by himself on a pit from home depot, and glossing over the years he worked at his family's place and other joints before starting his place is the lying I keep referencing that Franklin lovers keep ignoring.

I had to look it up but Mueller's. Learned from him and bought his pits.

Wasn't implying you said that, just a comment to the notion that Franklin should be held in high regard. Mueller's and John Lewis both had large part in Franklin's rise to fame. Which is probably why Lewis followed Leann and cooked for her. Funny part is their difference in collector design, as Lewis is all about the elbow giving Austin Smokeworks their design for all of their pits as they still build for him to this day.

I watched more vids, and this paper vs. boat vs. foil wrap(rest only) one was pretty interesting. I may try the Goldee's method soon, but finishing in a low oven saves me so much charcoal/wood.

Is what I use. Rest for minimum of 12hrs at 150* wrapped in foil. Phenomenal.

Me as well. The long rest has really made a difference IMO.

It's worth it though. If you ever do it, you'll see the difference. This is a choice from Sam's...
