I think you're saying the exact opposite of what you mean, at least in my interpretation. Having no culture is why you get mercenaries that DGAF. Building a culture is what will KEEP players there longer because they've bought into what you're doing. It's going to be mega difficult at first because you're tearing down and building from scratch, but if you lay the foundation for the culture properly results will follow. Saban sucked arse year 1 at bama. Kirby was super underwhelming at UGA in year 1. But the immediate results afterwards speak for themselves.

If Coach Sander's whole mantra is "nah we don't have a culture. If you're good come play" then he's going to get exactly what you mentioned which is a bunch of egotistical narcissists that all think they're going to start then will bolt immediately once they realize they aren't.

I watched his interview with Joel Klatt the other day and he said something completely different, how he is building a ball before bag culture. The guy is wildly inconsistent.

Prime right … good players doing their jobs trumps culture

You need good culture for good players to do their jobs though.

When players don't buy in, you end up with teams like A&M last year, LSU two years ago, or FSU before that.

No it doesn't. It means what it means. I'm not sure he knows what culture means. Truthfully, he may be the biggest dumbass head coach in college football.

How hard is it to spell Deion?

To be fair, he called himself...Neon Deion and should've changed his spelling Neon-Deon to be more linguistically pleasing.

The over/under win total for Colorado is 2.7.
IDK if he will crash and be exposed, but I do believe he will get them more than 2 wins. I'm taking the overs all day.

Behind all the BS, prime is a good ball coach and has a good staff.

You like the pot those ESPN writers are stirring for you?

Deion has already said that the players and coaches are unified.

What he was saying there is that it's not necessary for players to get along off the field to be effective on the field. He recalled guys he played with that didn't get along, but made "harmony" on the field. But right after that, he said this Colorado team is not like that.

Every team has a "culture" and every coach instills a culture whether they call it that or not. Culture is simply what's rewarded in a program, in a company, or whatever. Culture is saying this is what we want and this is how you'll thrive here.

If he says he just wants good players, then that's his culture, talent over everything else.

He's not wrong, the history of CFB has demonstrated that those who stockpile the best talent tend to win most often. Miami, USC, Alabama, I don't know that they had any wholesome culture other than being more talented than everyone else.

His team doesn't have enough of the culture he wants though.

this is the same guy that had players not wearing hats in places, and was basically preaching culture in his introduction. He was praised for that...now he is saying Unity isnt needed?

Not only that but wasn’t it just last week when they had a fight a practice and he yelled at the players who didn’t jump in.
He said “if one fights, we all fight “.

But now he doesn’t want unity?

Pick a lane, Prime.

During a press conference, Sanders denied being a Seminole, despite playing there for four years. He cited the fact that he graduated from Talladega College in 2020 as the reason why he doesn’t consider himself a Seminole and upon seeing this on X, formerly called Twitter, Kanell called out Sanders, saying, “The lack of respect for the school that gave him his start is wild. The same school that retired his jersey. The same school that let him be Prime. There is a way to handle this question and this ain’t it.”

Sanders didn’t take too kindly to the criticism and responded.

"My man ain't Nobody let me be me! I was Him and still is. Your jersey only get retired if you're a Dogg and 1 of the greatest ever and I was. Ain't nobody give me nothing, I took it and earned it. Stay out of Grown folks business u have no idea what is what."

He sounds like a retard; If I were a Seminole I would be OK with him denying his FSU roots.

I sure am. He's a complete moron that's always covered it up with charisma and smooth talking. He has no values, no principles, and no fundamentals as a head coach. He's learning all of this on the fly and just trying to shite talk his way through it.

I guess those comments put an end to any speculation that he would return to FSU should he have success at Colorado.

He would 100% return to FSU if given the opportunity. On the way out the door at JSU he said he wanted them to play up at the FBS level. This was a month and a half after the "If I ain't SWAC, who is" stuff.

The same arrogance that I hear from some fans here who act as though they created these players. Sanders had dozens of offers & did not need FSU. Sanders would be a HOFer & Prime if he had gone to FAMU. Did the Noles teach him to run? His great tackling & grammar ?

He was obviously joking ( in his inimitable way) & giving a small shout out to an tiny HBCU few have heard of. The school that helped him fast track his degree to get a job at JSU. The HBCU who gave him a chance when most schools like FSU mocked him.

Interesting, because when he walked into place he tore into the the culture there.
Pretty much any successful turnaround job starts with putting some discipline into the place. It doesn't have to be drill-sergeant stuff, but there has to be something in place. And that's culture.

And he left them for the first white school that would give him a job.
