My normal left to right fade (sometimes a slice) is now heading left. I’m making solid contact but it’s going left (where I generally aim to account for fade)
What’s going on? Is my body not rotating?
Kinda miss the predictability if fade/slice

Could be a million different things.

I’d start with ball positioning

I wonder if I’m just aiming left for slice and my swing has gotten better so it’s just going straight.

Get on a monitor. It will tell you path and clubface data which will tell the tale of what's causing your issues. Anything else is merely a guess.

Slices and pulls can come from the same swing. The difference is clubface. You're probably coming over the top. Get someone to video.

Unlikely, although I’m the last one to be giving lessons. You may be swinging a bit over the top resulting in an outside-in club path. This will result in a pull if you make contact with a closed club face..

Nothing feels better than a pull hook and nothing is more aggravating to try to correct.

Usually when I do it is because I am whipping the club inside too much.

The problem with a pull is the fact that it is so very easy to groove which makes it tougher to correct.

Let a Pro look at your swing.

Yeah, this could be a small difference that results in a pull instead of a slice. You normally have a path that is left of your face, which results in the fade. If that face closes just enough, now you can have a path square to the face or even right of it.

Hanging back on your right foot during the downswing, assuming you're right handed. The right side has to rotate around to the target sooner.

The answer is easy, your club face is closed more than it used to be.

The reason is harder to pin down

Double check your alignment with clubs or alignment sticks. If you are aligning left and hitting straight, I wouldn’t fix the swing, but would work on alignment.

Could be a positive if you have managed to correct a swing flaw without even trying.

It’s all about the club face. I would think the club face is square to your swing path. Start lining up not to hit a pull (straight at your target) and see what happens. More than likely the fade will reappear and take some effort to really get rid of it. Two things- now you know you can hit a straight shot and nothing wrong with a controlled fade.

A slice and pull are the same swing plane. The difference is the face. Rather than hitting the ball with the face straight on you are hitting the ball with a closed face that is in line with your outside-to-inside swing plane.
