Danny Kanell is legitimately the dumbest person in sports media. Every take he has is trash.

there’s a reason LSU is a 2.5 point favorite on a semi-neutral field.

Wasn’t LSU favored last year as well?

needed LSU to have a first-possession muffed punt and 4 points lost to blocked kicks to squeak by with a 1-point win.

LSU also needed FSU to fumble at the 1 yard line and a miracle 99 yard drive to lose by 1 instead of 14.

I’d wager good money that LSU finishes the season ranker higher for good reason.

I think LSU will too, but FSU finished higher than LSU last year.

It really does not matter. They win week 1 they'll get all the respect they need then.

You know the season is here when people start bitching about early rankings

Danny Kanell is a useless, bitter POS. So I really don’t care.

Who. Cares?

The two teams will play in a few weeks - then we'll all know.

Just watch the games and ignore all the chatter.

he's truly made it his brand at this point God forbid if the SEC invites FSU and his stance suddenly changes

Going to be a rude awakening for them and Clemson if they ever play in a real conference. The best football, top to bottom, is played in the SEC. Period.

They may be really good and they may beat us again. Won’t change the fact that the SEC deserves the benefit of the doubt more often than not.

FSU WRs vs LSU DBs will decide the game

It’s a scary thought with what we know about the CBs so far

FSU guy thinks his team should be ranked higher than their opponent. I'm good with that...

FSU, a team that was more established in terms of coach, quarterback and overall roster having played that “tune-up game”, needed LSU to have a first-possession muffed punt and 4 points lost to blocked kicks to squeak by with a 1-point win. Even with the aforementioned disadvantages, LSU wins last year’s game with a more-refined FG kicking operation. They win by 2 scores if Nabors catches that first punt clean and those 2 kicks are made–maybe 3 scores if Maason Smith plays the entire game.

What in the heck does this years ranking have to do with last years game…

If you bothered to look both of these teams come into this season in similar roster positions, key returning starters, and end of season resuls… The preseason rankings could easily be reversed in our cases.

It's irrelevant what Kannell thinks. The #5,#8 matchup will be soon enough on its own.

Or if Boutte came down with one or both of the TDs he dropped. Granted the first one was a tough catch, but one a WR1 should make more often than not
