Of course Kanell thinks FSU can win because they can. They return most of their starters from last season and did well like us in the portal.
The key match up is their WRs vs our DBs. FSU has very good WRs and added Keon Coleman who we recruited at one time. If our DBs can limit big plays LSU wins. I feel good about LSU in every other match up.
Bet the over

FSU, a team that was more established in terms of coach, quarterback and overall roster having played that “tune-up game”, needed LSU to have a first-possession muffed punt and 4 points lost to blocked kicks to squeak by with a 1-point win.
I keep seeing this posted over and over. The 2022 matchup and its result have nothing to do with what will transpire next month.
College football is hard to pick week to week. Drawing conclusions from previous seasons is a waste of your time.

how overrated they are.
It’s so wild. There is a lot of people that hate the SEC but they still acknowledge they are the best conference. He goes out of his way to point out any flaw and still think the ACC is on par with the SEC and the Big Ten.
His dad is a large reason the Saints ended up with Drew Brees so he’s got that going for him.

Well, he played at Florida State so I’m sure this is unbiased.
Yes he’s 100% biased, as opposed the posters on here that are completely objective
Who cares what some analysts says, the preseason poll is utterly meaningless

SEC bias? LOL. He just completely glosses over Clemson being ranked over Tennessee even though Tennessee's last game was a 3 possession win over Clemson with the backup QB that is starting this year. Dude just sucks.

So y'all both have opinions...
And both are probably biased....
Great

Does it really matter when they play week one?
Every poll I've seen have both in top ten, some with FSU higher.
It's not like it's the first playoff ranking.

Why are people mad about this…it’s a win win situation if FSU is ranked higher than us for the matchup
Posted on 8/9/23 at 8:48 am to jepapo
Of course he’d say that about the Noles

We will learn a lot about Brian Kelly during this game.

They win by 2 scores if Nabors catches that first punt clean and those 2 kicks are made–maybe 3 scores if Maason Smith plays the entire game.
If if if if
I don't disagree and I understand "ifs and buts".
I only reference that as evidence that FSU NEEDED LSU to have 4 relatively significant, highly unlikely errors/injuries.
"IF" that game happens ten times, those 4 "issues" probably happen 6-7 times total.
If the argument is "FSU won last year's game and the teams seem to be similarly-talented so they should be ranked higher", I think it is fair to point out HOW FSU won and that those assists that LSU handed them are not very likely to happen again.
I really don't understand how my post got so many downvotes, unless there's just an incredible number of dudes who sorely lack reading comprehension skills.

Doesn’t matter either way. He’s wasting time and energy. Will be decided in a few weeks.
