This is a really great song.
I was actually talking about it just the other day with some young kid who of course never heard if it.

Great choices. It’s funny, I always think of those two together myself. I was recently thinking about Magic because of the Ozempic ad and was trying to remember its ‘partner’ Sky High.

Way too many to name. Another favorite:

Agree that In a Big Country was probably their only US hit to speak of but they were a great band. The Crossing is a masterpiece and a lot of their other stuff is great too.

I remember sometime after 2000, my ex and I had this song come on while we were in the car. We had both heard it hundreds of times, but she had always thought it was being performed by a woman. I set her straight.

Technically yes, All Along the Watchtower was his only single that cracked the Top 40. In all practicality no, Purple Haze, Watchtower, Voodoo Child, Hey Joe, Crosstown Traffic along with quite a few others are more known today than most of the top ten when those songs were popular. Top 40 music back then was practically all AM radio and AM radio usually shied away from songs with obvious or semi-obvious drug references.
